I'm starting to think the 1/350 scale is getting discriminated. Come on Hasegawa!!!

madwolf, I agree with you......We need more 1/350. Nice kits but I'll try to stay with the big scales as long as I can

Much as I want more 1/350, there is a real market for 1/700. Not everybody has the money, or the room, for 1/350. For me that's all I'll be making from now on, I just don't have the patience for the smaller size any more. But for those who like the small stuff, these are two nice additions.

Hey guys: I'm in 1/700 heaven! This is great!

I fall in to that category. But I've also have learned to really admire the modelers like Jim Baumann, Peter Fulgoney and others who can bring to life a 1/700 ship with all the details you would find in a big model.

I remember building these kits some 33 years ago. They really lacked on detail, but they were all we had. Of course back then they retailed for $2 each. Battleships and aircraft carriers cost $4 and DD's and subs were a buck. You could, and I did have a magnificent navy back then. I don't lament these kits, but for $25 I would sure hope they are VASTLY (!!!!!) improved on the originals. MOre than just adding the option of a lower hull with props and rudders
