Round 2 has reissued Lindberg’s classic USN LST.

This kit is a reissue of Lindberg’s Landing Ship Tank, or L.S.T. kit from the late 1960s. At 1/245 scale it doesn’t really fit with most model fleets, but the 15½ inch hull makes for good sized model. The model seems to be based upon a late model L.S.T.

According to Round 2, who have been reissuing many old Lindberg kits:

“The Landing Ship, Tank (L.S.T.) was created for amphibious operations during World War II. The L.S.T. could carry 300 troops and 60 vehicles and drop them direction on shore without docking. Its design proved essential during the D-Day invasion. This authentic model is more than 16 inches in length. The new lidded box displays artwork from vintage release. Collectors will want a copy just to display. The decals and painting instructions included enabling the modeler to choose from several authentic variations.
