Trumpeter has announced the August 2018 release of TRP06714, the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk in 1/700 scale.

Based on the Forrestal class, the Kitty Hawk class was larger and more advanced than any carrier that had proceeded it. The USS Kitty Hawk was the lead ship in her class and saw action in both the Vietnam War and the first and second gulf wars. She was only recently decommissioned in 2009 and currently awaits her fate of being scrapped.

Trumpeter’s all new tooling of this legendary carrier will include E2C, EA-6B, SH-60, and F-18F aircraft as well as photo-etched metal detail parts. This kit measures approximately 468mm long and 123mm wide when completed.
