Trumpeter have announced the released of their1/144 German Type XXIII Late Production U-Boat New Variant. This kitset is to contain 32 parts on 3 sprues and the final model will be over 10 inches in length.

This is the late war variant of the Type XXIII German U-Boat, which was developed very near to the end of World War II.

The expected release date is approximately July 2009 with a suggested retail price at this stage of US$22.95.
