Beautiful work, mate! This kit and the Pontos set makes me really want to get it out of my stash - but something to do before that will happen. But it's really fun to watch your progress on the beautiful old Lady!

She is coming along. The North star bridge gear is testing my eyesight, but I found out from my Bismarck build the difference get the bridge detail right makes a lot of difference.

Finally got to grips with the compass platform.
The binocular sights done, including two spares.
Pompom directors built.
Top right of North star RN Bridge equipment fret is the Captain's chair.
Magnetic compass, gyro repeater and some voice pipes painted.
Compass platform, with the above and sights fitted.
sights and directors, after a visit to the back garden spray booth.
voice pipes.
Binocular sights and pompom directors fitted to the compass platform.
In place with the main director fitted. a couple of ladders to go on, and a few more details to on the signal platform.
The after pompom directors fitted as well.
Lots to do yet.

They were a "labour of love" some of the etch is verging on the microscopic. but resin is excellent.
Particularly on the capital ships, the open compass platforms of that period were quite busy. few details still to add, small bulwark around the ladder opening, ladders down the signal platform and some voicepipes and railings down there.
Then I can get on with boats, pompoms and the rest of the stuff.

The Pontos set is good, but being their first it is a bit less complete than their more recent releases, and the instructions leave a bit to be desired, but it is still good value for what you get, but a few references wouldn't go amiss,

Glad you like it, it was "fun" to do. At action stations it would make a rush hour subway, or tube, train look quite roomy. Hadn't really thought about it, but you have put an idea in my mind, if I can sort some figures might look at manning the bridge with a cruising watch.

Small update today.
Finishing of the compass platform. the bulwarks around the companionway up from the flag bridge.
Details to the signal platform at the rear of the flag bridge, ladders a few more voice pipes and railings.
Details on the foredeck tidied up.
The kit say nothing about the holes on the Pontos deck, around a Barbette. Will need to do some digging amongst my references to see if I need to add any vents.

Well, Si, even if there were no vents around the barbette (the Anatomy of the Ship volume does show mushroom vents there), I suppose you can use spare bits of wood from the Pontos set to repair the little round holes. Love that deck so far!

Seemed likely to me there would be vents, there appears to be some spares in the kit. may be able to adapt those so they don't foul A turret.

Very quick update,
Thanks to Tim's advise and a bit of deeper research, there were mushroom vents around A and Y turrets, so before fitting any vents, a turret needed to be constructed in order to make sure I don't make them too high to foul the turret as it rotates.
The plastic bits.
The plastic barrels vs the brass and resin components.
Test fitted.
