Ahoy mates!
With all of the activity at MSW of late, I almost forgot about the Official Campaign thread for our next fantastic MSW Campaign, Gator's
"Hollywood at Sea" Campaign!
Want to read a bit more about this new event, and maybe even join up?...well click
here to be transported to the official
Campaign Main-page...read over the details, and if you would like to join up and build a model with your mates, click the "enlist" button on the right side of the screen, and get busy!
Please feel free to use this thread for all of your "Hollywood at Sea" discussions, including posting build updates...it's a great way to experience everybody's builds...and if you're looking for a place to upload and display your images for THIS campaign, then follow
this link to the official
"Hollywood at Sea" Campaign Gallery!
With this said, mates, let's have a fun, exciting campaign!
Keep Modeling!

I actually started on my Monogram Nimitz (Final Countdown, or The Philadelphia Experiment). Very easy kit, no details, not a "good" kit BUT should be a fun build and a nice springboard into carrier builds, been ages since I did one. Will post blog pics in a few days.

I'll throw my hat into the ring with the Gohten-Go from the 1963 Japanese movie, Atragon. The Gohten-Go is one of those end of the war super weapons that doesn't get used in WW2, but instead is used to save mankind from campy baddies. Super sub? Check. Super sub that also happens to be able to fly? Check. Absolute Zero Cannon? Check. Huge drill? Check. Hot Mu Empress? Check. Over the top action? Double Check!
Here's a picture of a Japanese modeler's Gohten-Go build....

Here's the original trailer:

Very cool, Mr. Bell!
I love this campaign...it gives us all a chance to really let your creativity flow with the fantasy subjects, and not worry too much about the mismatched davits or the oversize flagbags...this is going to be alot of fun to watch!
Cheers,
~Gunny

I got my wiring done still waiting on some stuff and put a good portion of her together. Painting will be interesting as large as she is so I ordered an air hose (new puppy

) for the other gun and will see what mess I can make.

Looking good guys.
I was tempted to bring my 1/72 Gato with me when we went to my parents to ride out Himacane Ike but decided not to.
Keep up the good work!

I already know what I am going to make

It is going to be...... (what else???)
a 1/700

Well being laid up helps the build to go better. All I need is to finish the sanding and then paint but I expect that to take awhile.
