Hi.
That's a nicely done model.
However, according to my co-author on my SCHNELLBOOT IN ACTION monograph, there is no written or photographic evidence of a S-100 Type Schnellboot having a camouflage scheme applied to it. According to him, the data from a Russian source that indicates there were camouflage schemes applied to S-100s is rather suspect at best.
I've personally not been able to verify this; and believe me, I've TRIED to ...
But, my co-author has told me (when he still communicated with me) that the camouflaged boats with the Kalotte bridges COULD BE S-38b Type boats.
Take this tid-bit of info as I intend it to be. And, that is as a help.
And, to that man who posted a couple of the color drawings from my monograph? Hey, if you thought they'd help people, that's fine with me.
Garth

Hi Pavel, that's a nice clean build - I will use it as inspiration whenever I get a chance to build my S-boat (that's whenever I clear my workbench enough to have space!). I understand there is a problem with the forward 20mm gun tub - it's too small for the proper gun crew. I would like to man the the boat with it's crew. Did you encounter this problem and fix it, or is it a lot of extra work?

Hello Biggles2;
You are right. To man the bowgun you must have some skinny topmodels of theses days. Revieweing real practice where 2 man where located in the bow tub (loader + gunner) it is one of the most obvious mistakes Italeri made when bringing this kit to life. But Italeri made this kit a challenge for all historic oriented modellers of which you can find a few in this forum. Robert Palmacci - a good friend of mine - did quite some effort to put the corrections into reproducable plans. I myself bought the one for the bow gun for a few EUR. You can find all of his plans here: http://rpalmacci.free.fr/
more details on the boat - real life oriented - can be found here, you might want to check out certain threads here, we sometime alos talk about the color of certain items on the deck: http://atlantikpirat.proforums.org/viewforum.php?f=12
I hope this helps to imagine the work ahead of you

Well S-100 friends,
To make a start for the new building year I would wish you all a very good 2012.
There is a new firm on the market for resinparts of our believes S-100 boats.
Cammets has sold there forms for the parts they made to Mastercasters also out of the UK.
They have the resin skull bridge, gunshield, the rubberboat and now also the seamines for sale.
You can find them on www.Mastercasters.co.uk if you have questions to them you may contact Jay Laverty [email protected]
GREETINGS

HI GUYS....
IT,S VERY STILL ON OUR S-100 FORUMPAGE.
HAVE A QUESTION
When I look at the decals of Peddinghouse I see for the KeK and the HJu boots just one decal.
Is that right did these commander decals appear only on the starboard side of the vessel?
Or do we need two decals for one starboard and one backboard side.
Greetings
Bert

Hi Bert,
To answer your question, the identification of the Captain's name was reproduced on both sides... There is little doubt about it.

Robert,
That would implicate that the Peddinghaus decal sheed 1720 is missing one Kek and one HaJu decal.
And for the KeK boat also the crossed daggers.
Robert did you talk with Peddinghause about this fact that his sheed is incomplete ?
If not I will make contact with him about this, and I will also ask for the possibility of getting the crossed daggers that you make for him.
With kind regards
Bert
PS
At the moment I;m building the Italeri Biber submarine and its trailer from U-Models that is also a great set to build as a inbetween when making a large project like the S-100.

Hello Bert,
When I contacted Peddinghaus, some while ago, to provide him with Karl Eberhardt Karcher's crossed daggers, he sent me a separated set of two and I assumed this was going to be added to his decals sheet...
Apparently, to what you experienced, he hasn't. So sad. Yes, I think you should absolutely contact him again and remind his sheet is incomplete!
Best,
  Robert

I DON'T THINK THIS IS A REALITY

Making a boot with all the thinks you can find.
What is the need for a 50cm searchlight on board of a snellboot or a gun-tower of a pzkwg 2.
or two Italian minisubs and a demag crane
this must be a scratch box invention, bringing together all the leftovers of modelling.
But funny to see

The model was build by Bill Park (Maybe someone from the UK knows him) as a conversion of the S-Boat to a torpedo tender. There are a few pictures in the magazine "model boats" from June 2010. There are alos a few photos beside the model showing a mast and a rocket launcher (components) - but not the boat as such. But so far I have not seen any illustrated evidence of the existance of such boats.

Thats a very fine set of sea-mines that you have made my compliments.
I,m still waiting for my mines it seems that they need more time to get them produced.
In the mean time I did buy a mine and a reisboye from Schatton Modelbau Germany
I cant say that I'm imprest by them, the don't have details and the mine is totally wrong the cradle looks like it but when looking to the drawing of this type there is a lot missing or wrong some money wasted.
These are for sure not the best products of schatton.

The bridge was completed
All in it yet I will do is I will add Bell
The crew will be in this configuration (the captain will be amended by the right hand and the ' from binoculars to your eyes) and after painting returned to these places, of course, is not yet the crew throughout the schnellboot

You are getting there Pawel... May I comment if you allow me? You are correct, a bell to the mast will improve the scratch, but to what concerns the radio directional finder antenna, I strongly believe it is being far away out of scale, I'm afraid...
And still not willing to add the trap on the chatroom wall?
Not bad anyway...

@ Pavel,
Sorry, I forgot also to mention you are missing the metal steps on both sides to access the open bridge.

Gentlemen, maybe it is just me, but the arms of the orange figures look very large to me - huge hands.
Good to see, on the gray person standing in the door of the wheelhouse with one orange arm, gee, that arm is long and the hand is big. but at least it is the right hand which is big, which is usual for a lonely seaman

Robert
I know that la Muette de degrees on the bridge, but they will
as to your plans, you do not sell
I think you have yet extremely prohibitive prices, but is your case
colleagues provide you documentation, photos and now you need a lot of pay
and I see from you doing with their super specialist, and demonstrates what not you
86,5 euro per set of plans is far too many.
In particular, that without the help of colleagues from this forum did not have you almost nothing.
as it was from Naxos
You said initially that I have the wrong type, and really do you know what type should be
I can surprise because I have a photo of Naxos, such as I built and the picture is from sznelboots
xrz100
a seafarer is tipped, and actually see if they had the long arm
such a perspective photography
