Pawel, my dear Pawel...
At first, I would like to say I know no one else but Labourdette and myself who spent so much time at the French military archives to collect their so valuable sources of information, may it be on printed or dvd formats... This also concerned the Naxos you mentioned, among other stuff.
Talking of it, are you sure yours represents for instance the drawing and picture displayed both in the Squadron issue, on page 51? I have some doubts about it...
Now, if you read back what Garth Connelly tried to tell you nicely about the kind of camouflage you used for your S-100, he has some questions too, you know...
If you wish to post and pour in tens of pictures for searching only praise and deny the friendly advices others could provide you, this is your problem my friend. But to me, it's a bit silly to spend so much work for representing at the end something not accurate...
Always grant someone's help, as I tried with you before. Avoid snubbing attitude... You'll find out It pays more.

It sounds like I'm talking to a 6-year old kid...
Ok then. Just let's speak of the section of your boat Pawel. I'm going to review a few of your mistakes, not detailing your three S-boats or it would require writing a whole book, I'm afraid.

1- Does your Naxos matches the evidences to the right? Unfortunately, I assume not.
2- If you compare the two pictures to the left, your radio directional finder antenna isn't to scale.
2a- Beside this fact, there is NO EVIDENCE to date that an S-Boat had on the open bridge a Naxos coupled with a radio directional finder. This is pure fiction.
3- It would be interesting to show one of your sailors with the MG15 standing horizontal. The fixation is much too high.
4- These vents were bent and not straight as Italeri represented them.
5- One small metal step is missing if you want your crew to access the flag signaler stand.
6- The flag pole isn't accurately located.

- I must admit to have been stunned to see someone like you left the original bow tub as it was. Where for God's sake are you going to place even a single gunner? And worst, you did it on two of your boats. Wasn't it obvious to you that no one could have stand in it?
- The 'Eagle'... I'm sorry Pawel, but this symbol was reproduced only on pre-war S-Boats. Since your model represents a wartime boat, It as nothing to do here; it's pure fiction again...
- The windows now on your wheelhouse... See the difference in shape?
Now, if you have evidences showing I'm being wrong on these points, I'm ready to accept them. I'm not stubborn.
Robert

Do you have a picture of this type of Naxos on the original unit?
I know with you
and I have a photo of my Naxos mounted on schnellboot
And as you'll find this photo to see that weren't wrong
at the front of the sleeve is I know that is wrong and not its correct

Please, go ahead Pawel. I'm sure people will like sharing your picture.
Then, I'll presume Garth Connelly and David Krakow have been wrong -- or not fully concise -- with the documentation they provided in their book. Which I have to say is one of the best we can find on the market.
You seem to be obsessed by the Naxos while many of your scratches aren't accurate. And the list is long. Any comments on the other issues? The camouflage for example... or the MG15s being too high... or the Eagle?

Gentleman please I'm getting sad about the type of conversation in the last couple of mails.
Lets try to convince with facts txt, drawings or photo's.
Lets prevent that this forum conversation become something like this

You both have made your points were you are right or wrong.
But try to keep this forum with more than 50 pages polite.
We are a strong forum so keep it in that way, we have to learn from each other to get more understanding of the s-boats thats our main goal.
greetings from the Netherlands
Bert

Oh yes, Hans Frank's book. I have it too and I have to admit I totally forgot about that picture.
But still, this one, which was sold on Ebay some while ago represents another version, pretty close to what is reproduced in Squadron book, with a thinner base. Then, not an U-Boot model as you claimed it was.

I'll call it a draw in this case. Most certainly a matter of early and late devices.

I would like anyway to say, as Bert reminded it, that for almost 50 pages on this forum, we always have exchanged our points of views and accepted to discuss courteously when not agreeing on a case. May it have been with my friends Arjan or Michael. Using coarse language has never helped to open doors... nor make friends.

At the moment I'm doning some research about the spreng and reisboje have found some material and will place the links in my messages.
The first is the site of a Dutch museum tug the Hudson it is a slow site but take a look at the mine info they have very interesting.
http://museumschiphudson.com/Tentoonstelling/index.htm
The main point for searching for info on the boje is that the one I did buy from Schatton is not what I would expect it to be, and looking to the pictures it would be no problem to make them your self if you have the necessary measurements and drawing or pictures.
So if any of you can assist in this project I will be the collecting point of the info and will try to put it together in a compleet document.
Greetings Bert

...back to that mysterious flag/pennant:
It's a "Divisionsstander". The pennant for the commander of a "Division" - a part of a "Geschwader" (squadron). It was normally used by the deputy squadron commander.

Once again, thank you for the clear information you gave Michael.
Now Bert,
I cannot answer to your message in a bottle yet, I'm actually busy working on a project these days and would like once it is over, to start working on the twin MG15 set after that so to make the Schnell completed.
But if you aren't in a hurry... we could work on it later. You've got my email address if I recall correctly.
  Robert
  Robert
ps: did you get an answer from Peddinghaus for the decals?

I'm parting with this figure made by 'Royal Model' (ref. #593) for EUR10.00, P&P not included. Brand new still in its box, unopened.
Is anybody interested?

and as a reminder, plans for the S-100/S38B, it's still there: http://rpalmacci.free.fr

Hello Guys,
some progress on the opening mechnism for the torpedo. I arranged the servo with a large pinion, which is moving the small pinion, by whic the torpedohatch is opened and closed. At the same time, when the torpedotube hatch is in the final opened position the large pinion is activating the pneumatic valve, thus the torpedo is released only when the door is completely opened (see picture 2).
Further, together with another modeler we are building those torpedos, the top and the end are done, what I am currently still looking for is a lipo accu in the right capacity and size, the torpedo miiddle is to short, but has the right diameter already.
more to come.
