Another update I have added some beading around the area where the water will be to give it some hight and have fixed the insulation foam in place using decorators calking sealer. After this had set I have started to add some waves to the foam using a cutting disc and small sanding drum in my mini drill and some work on the vosper I have added the kit PE to the controls on the flying bridge.First time I have used Gator glue for the PE fixing and found it very good to work with.

I think it looks fantastic Keith. Perhaps riding a bit high, though I could certainly be wrong. Maybe it's low on fuel.

Small update not so good with things when working nights I have started adding the seaweed to the dock walls I think I may have over done it but will be abla to thin it out later when the PVA glue has fully dryed. You can see better in this photo the texture I have made with the mini drill to the wall as the kit parts come fairly flat faced.

Great builds going on here, loving this campaign.
After a bit of a hiatus I have got going again, started on the base., the structure of the wake is laid out.

The plastic rod is stuck down, trimmed and covered in kitchen foil.

and then sprayed with a mix of green, blue & grey and the boats placed back on after the paint had dried.

next will be a the "base of the wake airbrushed on in white.

Hi Alan I used dryed out moss from my garden along with some model railway grass scater for the seaweed giving it some time to dry and then will trim it back a bit.
Simmon looking good with your seabase

Now that is an interesting approach to creating the wakes.
Really like it.

Warren, Nice work! By the way, the gallery's
here if anyone wants a look at Warren's great Vosper.
The PT 109 still lives:

Those tubes on the port side aren't attached, just sitting there to show some progress. Hopefully I'll be able to concentrate on getting further now that I've finished up a couple of other projects.

Looking good Michael,
Got the airbrush out and did some work on the base level of the wake. as you can see I still have a lot to learn about airbrushing.

the boats sat on the base.

and the base of the propwash added.

a few coats of sea and wake and it should have a bit of depth.
More soon

794, the aft 6pdr, the base plate & L'Arsenal resin pedestal for the twin manual 20mm, work has alos started on the twin 0.5" Vickers.

They're really moving now Si!
Meanwhile, the 109 is finally a torpedo boat!

Getting somewhere now. Finally.

Sascha: I know just what you mean. Right now, this is what I'm trying to finish so I can get on to the next thing (which I think will be a WNW 1/32 Snipe!)
So, here's where I am on the 109:

I'm working on the bow 37mm right now. Wow, it's probably more intricate than anything else in the kit. It will be painted OD (I figure they didn't have time to repaint given how temporarily it was secured to the deck) so it should be an interesting contrast.
May get this done yet!

And finished!

Just in time for Veterans day here in the states. More pics in the
gallery , of course. I kind of mixed features based on how I wanted it to look. They seemed to have over-painted the windscreen and left off the mast, so I did those things. Chances are, however, they painted over the compass housing and wood gratings and benches that I went ahead and painted as black and wood for a little contrast. I also painted the mufflers my burnt metal mix for the same reason. As I have mentioned, the patchiness to the green is because Tamiya's paint as airbrushed out of the bottle doesn't exactly match the rattle can. Still, I think it's effective weathering. At least that's my story.
I think it came out pretty well. My biggest advice is to watch out when handling it if you build. The rudders and prop shafts break easily but are tricky to install when everything else is done too. Think it out before hand and have plenty of room!
Looking forward to everyone else's builds!

I assume a submarine does not fit within the rules of this campaign?
