As I said, back to the bridge tower, the flakveirling / searchlight platform. For which Pontos include the Siren / foghorn.



Pontos provide the railings in one piece, didn't fancy that, built them up from some spares.

Having struggled with the Pontos single 20mm I bought some replacements from Veteran Models, also for the twin 37's as well.



admiral's bridge and foretop parts sprayed.



work started on the first four twin 37's







last two bits of wood deck down.



sights fitted to the foretop,



detail painting and rangefinders added to the Admiral's bridge level.



foretop roof painted and test fitted.



Foretop optical gear fitted.



Gunnery control position down, foretop done.

Yesterday's update.

The flakveirling / searchlight platform and roof of the admiral's bridge painted. I managed to knock the extended platforms off, but will refit those later.



Prior to fitting the platform searchlights will be fitted, the Pontos provides resin replacements.

Funnel platforms.

More work on the veteran twin '37's









two units finished, they do go together well, there are just rather a lot of parts, over 20 per unit.

Back to the structure of the ship.

The Bulwarks around the aftermost pair folded to shape and test fitted.



And painted and fitted around the pair on the after superstructure.



Ammo boxes for the after superstructure folded up and readied for spraying.

There is more resin in them than I expected, but the resin gunners seats and sight bar work well, but as you say they are fiddly, and with lots of parts, hence slow progress on them, (keep going crosseyed)

haha, I know what you mean mate. All this nano engineering is doing my head in

there seemed to be a lot more brass in the flyhawk kits, but either way-oh so tiny!

Mine are racked and painted waiting for the barrels to be painted a dark grey before shipping-hope to post something this weekend

Will be watching mate.

Work started on the veteran single 20mm.





The quarterdeck capstans.



Two twin 37mm finished



One small problem, they are 1/200th scale! don't know how I managed to order the wrong scales and not notice. have sourced some of the correct scale, should be on there way within the next few days.

Anyway, on with the more successful bits.
