Thanks Dave,

I will agree that torpedo crane was a bit of a challenge. It seems to fit ok. still have a few details to add.

To be fair I don't recall yours looked anything but great from your build.

Cheers Mate.

Thanks Russ,

Appreciate your kind comment, the torpedo crane was "Fun" but it is equipment like this that really benefits from the etch.

Hi Bernd,

Thanks for looking in. The Infini set is very comprehensive, and so far is working well with Tamiya's excellent engineering.

Thanks Sean,

Glad you are enjoying the progress, it isn't going to be fast, lots of lovely etch, and turned brass to go.

Thanks Jan,

Have to say this infini etch is really good, well placed fold lines and it fits, it is very enjoyable to use.

Could very well end up with a flotilla of Japanese destroyers.

Bit of a wait for that, the funnel casing section has quite a lot to go on it.

Will post Sunday's update shortly.

Si,

Your PE work looks great. I remember those ladder sections, they are a lot of fun, especially the ones for the rear funnel.

Thanks Dave,

The ladder sections are fun, could have done with being a bit straighter, but should look ok under a coat of paint.

Thanks for the heads up on the after funnel.

Cheers
Mate.

Thanks Jan,

The infini set is very good indeed, lots of etch, and a nice little bag of turned brass.

Nice to get this sort of upgrade for smaller ships.

Looking good Si!

It looks like you'll soon be commissioning Benson and Danton too!

It'll be strange to see you with just one build in the dock yard! Hopefully something will pop up to fill the empty slipways soon

Thanks Russ,

Already got it in hand.

Might be another pre dread to take up the Slip occupied by Danton.

Not sure what will fill Benson's slip, maybe an RN destroyer, or maybe an oddity, still thinking on that.

Cheers

Si,

She is coming along nicely. Cant wait to see some color on the old girl. Have to admit that I am as interested in what you select to fill your slips as Russell is, you always bring great things to observe.

Thanks Dave,

Not long now before the paint comes out, just the two forward torpedo cranes, then I will hit the two superstructure units before starting on the small stuff.
