It is Russ,

The V shaped upper yard and the rake meaning all the halyard run forwards help. It was "fun".

A little progress on the turrets and tubes.










These seems to be a very large number of tiny etched parts, but I will get there!

Si, you're right, there are a lot of those tiny etched parts, but they are going to look great under paint!

Nice work on those turrets. I always have problems putting on those PE rails on the sides of the turrets to stay in place. How do you get those darn things to stay in place?

Nice job and progress here as well, SI!

Perfect etch work for the guns and torpedo tubes, and the mast is interesting, indeed.
The whole bridge looks so 'WW I-ish' to me, but they were quite modern WW II vessels, weren't they?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your comment. I use Gator glue to fix the rails, I apply I line of it along the top edge of the moulded rail, and let it start to go a bit see through, so it is tacky, the work the rail into place a bit at a time. I find superglue always tends to grab a bit of it in the wrong place and not let go. this way I have time to work inot place one section at a time.

Thanks Mate,

These Japanese warships do have unusual design features.

The bridge does belay the fact that they were a mid 30's design, but the Japanese used a similar style of bridge form most of the destroyers from that period onwards, I can only presume it worked as a design.
