They come in the upgrade set, along with brass templates to drill the mounting holes.

The Pontos upgrades are working very well with the base kit.
working form home helps a lot, the time I used to spend commuting, well some of it, is now spent at the bench, that has a lot to do with the current production rate.

Pre Christmas progress.
The first of the 3" bow & stern chase guns.
was confused for a little while by a mistake in the numbering on the instructions.
Part 796 should read 786.
The part before & after folding.
The gun built, this will be shielded and buried inside hull, so no more detail needed.
shield fitted.
Test fitted in place.
More Iron ladders.
Base detail on the stbd bow anchor stowage
Hopefully one more update before the new year.

All of that brass deetail looks great. I think the PE that pleases me most is that made for fun shields. It's thinness really improves realism.

Hi Thomas,
Totally agree, even in this scale the etched shields are so much better.
There are a lot more etched gun shields to go on this build, all the 3" and 47mm on the open decks and in the tops had gun shields in the 1902 fit.

All I can say is wow! Those PE porthole rain gutters and rims look awesome, really clean. The other pieces on the hull look great, but I hope you don't knock them off during the build, I know I would.

Thank you Mark.
Their is method in my madness. By adding these parts now, before the paint goes on, I get a good brass to plastic join which is stronger. I will likely loose one or two, but there are plenty of spares.

The door onto the Admiral's walk.
One thing I have learned in this marathon, it would be easier to put the upper row of porthole surrounds on before adding anything else/
The port side aft done, except for the net boom mounts and the deck of the Admiral's walk.
Frame fitted to the bow 3" mounts to the bow chasers.
More soon.

Hi Gaz,
Interesting point, it does appear to be a permanent structure. there are photos of both HMS Irresistible & HMS Britannia sinking after being mined & torpedoed with the walk in place.
The structure of the walk was generally steel, some had wooden gratings as a the deck / teak handrail / canvas awnings. Most if not all of the structure was aft of the props.
Also it would be a bit awkward it the Admiral went to step out on to the walk and it wasn't there.
