Adding to their growing product range Starfighter Decals have now released their 700-70 Essex and Class Generic Set . Expertly printed by Cartograf of Italy on behalf of Starfighter and are silk screened decal set designed for the serious Naval Enthusiast.

We understand that this set covers the Post War Essex Class carriers, except Antietam (which we understand is already covered in a kit by Dragon).

The set is primarily designed to be used with the Dragon Essex class kits, Ships & Co. 27C/125 Essex Angeled Deck Carrier and the Iron Shipwright 27A Korean War Era kit however it can also be used on the Trumpeter kit if you desire.

This set comprises of two sheets and contains 3 styles of flight deck numerals, 2 sizes of Island Numbers with one set shaded, Foul Lines, Armament Elevator Markings, Runway Markings for the 1950's and 1960's era styles, Elevator warning stripes with extra lines for size adjustment, 2 styles of Jet Blast Deflector markings, and Hanger Deck Warning signs.

The set also includes ship specific markings for the following: Essex, Yorktown, Intrepid, Hornet, Ticonderoga, Randolph, Lexington (to include CVT/AVT deck number), Hancock, Bennington, Bon Homme Richard, Kearsarge, Oriskany, and Shangri-La.

Ship's Names included are: Tarawa, Philippine Sea, Lake Champlain, Leyte, Princeton, Boxer, and Valley Forge.

As an additional bonus, Midway, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Coral Sea Nameplates are provided as the Midway Class CVs can use the markings on the sheet as well.

This looks to be a very exciting release for anyone who builds US Carriers as it has potential to be used on not only on the plastic kits from the Dragon and Trumpeter range, but the 27C/125 from Ships & Co, the 27A from Iron Shipwrights, the HP Midway Class and FDR Resin Kit, and the Jim Shirley Orisakany kit.
