Oh boy just when you thought the planned releases for 2010 couldn’t get any better along come the good folks at Bronco Models.

The design and development team at Bronco Models have been ultra busy of late and are releasing their 1/350th Imperial Chinese Beiyang Fleet Flagship ‘Ting Yuen’ .

If the released images are any indication this kitset looks fantastic and if you are like me a real fan of the ships from this era this will be no doubt be one of the “must haves” of 2010.

Check out these released image of this kitset.

The hot news is that this kitsets expected release date has now been advised as March 2010 however the suggested retail price has yet to be confirmed.

We will of course update you with more detail as it comes to hand.

Wow, what an unique ship to model. She's so odd looking she's cool. I'm not sure I'll build one, but I'd sure love to see one built. I did a quick google search and found this very interesting article. It seems the Chinese have made a 1/1 scale replica of her that you can visit! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://hksw.org/images/Ting%2520Yuen/017_17A.JPG&imgrefurl=http://hksw.org/Ting%2520Yuen.htm&usg=__wl7ZfEUSRHPxECyGZQvYVzq1sZA=&h=1000&w=1500&sz=354&hl=en&start=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=8rAQ9tZktGKBQM:&tbnh=100&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3DTing%2BYuen%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26um%3D1

Oh Boy, I could hug those people at Bronco Models. Brilliant move to provide a chinese battle ship. The dragons at the stern will be a good starting point for PE or white metal parts to pop in. Thnaks for the link and thank oyu for making aware.

Unique indeed! I can easily see it become part of the stash depending on price and reviews

I wish it were in 1/700 to complement Seals Models' Itsukushima/Hashidate kit (though you'd have to backdate the latter for the battle of Yalu).
