Hello Dus Adele,
Yes, the Hellcat was Carrier based. The French Navy had three light Carriers in the region off and on. Flying from their decks were Seafire, Dauntless, Helldiver, Corsair and Hellcats for ground support.
Sincerly,
Brian

Is anybody still building for this campaign? I know it has been extended to the end of March, but it seems like nobody is working and posting on any projects.
Anyway, hope to see some more entries

Jesper,
Fear not, I have applied the base color and a lighter coat to my Hellcat but I am putting my effort into finishing the Skyhawk for the Mark Sharpe Campaign right now.
Sincerely,
Brian

Ahoy, mates!
Just a friendly reminder, the end of March is coming near, and so will end the extension of the Riverine Campaign!!
So if you're still building, better kick it up a notch, and if you're finished, make sure that you have uploaded a photo(s) in the official campaign gallery "Finished Photos" album, as this is how the campaign leaders determine who will receive a ribbon for their entry...
Keep Modeling!

I've been working on my forgotten sister entry but that is nearing completion. I will try my best to complete my ship for this campaign.

Hello everyone,
Just a little more progress on the Hellcat. Used some engine gray, steel and dark sea blue and a silver artist pencil. I will replace the kits wheels (which are way to skinny) with an extra pair from a hobby craft F4U Corsair kit I build long ago.

Sincerely,
Brian

Again, a reminder, if you're still building for this campaign, best step it up a notch, and if you have finished your build, make sure that you have posted a finished image(s) in the official Campaign gallery for this campaign, as this determines the ribbon awards....let's get crackin', maties!!

Hello Everyone,
Progress on my Riverine Indo-China/Vietnam build. I applied the decals and sealed them with Future. From the few photos I could find of French Hellcats the markings were minimal so I did the same. I am working on the Bombs and Rockets now. When they’re finished I will add the gun stains and engine exhaust streaking and some small detail painting.

Sincerely,
Brian

Very nice entry, Brian. You did a good job on that one. It is definently a battered bird.

Greetings! I have been following this campaign closely, and have not had any pictures until now. (Sorry that the kitchen is the best lighting in my house).
I am glad that I found some pictures (like the 3rd one here) that shows the .50 cal mounted on the back. I love the extra Umph!
This LSSC will eventually find itself in a diorama with figures, a bit more weathering, and those fun aquarium plants! I've wanted to get this going for 2 years, and this group build finally got it out of my closet! Thanks!!

Hello Jesper,
Thank you for the compliment. I eagerly watch your "Falklands" Chinook come to life!
Steve-O,
I like the picture with the crew and the .50! nice little model.
Sincerely,
Brian
