Gator,

My banners are only as good as the "borrowed" work i base them on. I also have a very large library of images here and at home, plus my normal library to choose from.

Bruce,
Glad you like em. I had to make a set of the campaign I am running over on the armor side. So, since I was in the mood to get thigns done, I figured I sould do these as well.

BTW, if any of you feel like building a large Costal gun check out Incoming II: Big Guns on the armor side. Starts July 4

I just had to plug it.

I have added the ribbon and banner to the respective campaign homepage...feel free to use the banner in your profile to display it at the bottom of your forum posts...(it's a great way to advertise and promote your campaign )...it is uploaded in the official Pre-Dred Campaign gallery.

Cheers,
~Gunny

Wow, happy to see this campaign's existence. I built the Hasegawa 1/350 Mikasa ages ago, so it'll be good to jump on.

I have a bunch of cruisers (Olympia, Hashidate, etc.) from that era, but since they aren't Pre-Dreads (which are battleships), I'll have to dig up something else... Anyways, plenty of time to prep!

Here's my animated short dealing with the Russo-Japanese War:

hello Dade,
any warship launched before HMS Dreadnought is allowed.i used the term Pre-Dreadnought to show the era before the all big gun ships.so your cruisers are allowed.
cheers,
Bruce

Hey cool! Thanks for the heads up- there were some really nice looking cruisers at that time, so I'm happy they can be represented.

hello All,
i have had Mark redo the start and stop times for this campaign.instead of 6 months long,it will now be 10 months long.this will help us slow builders.when i run another campaign,i will add in a extenstion clause in it.the start time will be the same for the Pre-Dreadnought campaign.
cheers,
Bruce

Revisions have been made to the Campaign mainpage, but the banner will have to be adjusted...Mr. Adams?

To all campaign leaders, always remember, that you can always request an extension on any MSW campaign that might be running close on time...just send me a pm or an e-mail...get ready, this will be a busy campaign year here at MSW!!

If there's room for one more?!?

Looking through my stash, I came across both model and WEM P.E. The Varyag looks great in the box and based on a few reviews I've read, it fits quite well. Is anyone aware of turned barrels for this cruiser? I'll more than likely end up cutting her to waterline.

Yes, yes, oh yes, most certainly, Mr. Portela, there is room for one more (actually, many more, so c'mon mates, sign up for this fantastic MSW campaign!)...and a terrific subject Frank!

I came across some interesting books at a second hand book store today. John Beelers' Birth of a Battleship, British Capital ship design 1870-1881 from Caxton Editions (2003). I'm not sure how rare or dificult to find this book is, but if you get a chance, pick it up, fantastic pre-dreadnought reference material,... makes me want to put another order for a few more Combrig models!

Not sure if this helps anyone, but GreatModels is having a huge sale, includes the White Ensigns PE set (WEPE3587) VARYAG for the Zvezda kit, 46 US$ instead of 75+ US$

MUST resist temptation.....

I'm signing up for this as well.. I got the 1/350 Mikasa for my 30th birthday last Saturday, so this is the perfect occation. I will add the PE set from LionRoar .. and perhaps some more AM PE (Don't know yet) ...... It will most likely be featured on a displaybase .. because I really don't feel like trying to make watereffects yet!
