hello Mark,
So here we go, 358 days till the start. I hope this will give everyone time to do the research, and decide of the ship they will build. I will try to answer any questions in a timely manner. If I am unavaliable, I am sure that others can answer them... Mark, on Nov. 19, I am going to the hospital for a left knee replacement along with a replacement plate in my forehead, so I might be off line for a few days. .
Cheers to all,
Bruce

I'm going to get IHP's USS Connecticut BB18 pre-dreadnought and build it as the USS Louisiana.

It would seem the Gunny is taking this serious.

That is going to be a nice ship when she is all done. This campaign has a very good positive and one negative, and they are both the same thing, time. I love the fact I can plan and get the ship I want, USS Illinoinis BB7, but I want to get going on it.

6 of one half dozen of the other.

Definitely, mate! Main reason, my bench time is very precious anymore, and quite honestly, I was very surprised that this campaign got as much positive reaction as it did (the Pre-Dred era is one of my most fave's!)...

I hear ya mate! Kinda like we're 7 years old again, waiting for Christmas morning! Just gives us plenty of time to have everything ready, all supplies, research, a/m, etc...

Guy's I'm going to go with the Kombrig HMS Canopus if the kit comes out in time if not then it will be either HMS Queen or HMS Kent (the armoured cruiser).

Time scale is fine with me but I do have other campaigns/local builds in the picture for the back half of next year.

Ciao

Hmmmm, I dunno, mate...with the other campaigns approved for this time period, things might get a bit hectic for guys that are planning on building for multiple campaigns...it might be best just to leave her where she is, for better completion success rate...

Ahoy Shipmates

The initial interest in this campaign is great.

Kenny I am so glad you are planning on doing a USS Louisiana.

Now as I stated before I would like to think the instalments on the Great White Fleet in the Chartroom forum sparked all this interest but in reality I think its due to this being a superb era of maritime history with some fine and exciting ships being built.

Mark your selected build project is simply inspirational mate. Words fail me which as you well know is a rare occurrence indeed.

However to keep that enthusiasm boiling along please don't forget to check out the impending instalments.

Cheers

Sean
