Ahoy Daniel;

Nice work on the canvas dodgers.

What are you using as the canvas?

How did you attach them?

Cheers

Hello Sean!! I use common and current fabric. Later apply white glue.
The tests in the water of the weekend were not a great thing!!! The batteries of the control became exhausted rapidly.!! But the Schnellboot demonstrated to be the whole beauty in the water.!! Not photos!!!! Very difficult to handle and to extract photos!!!!

Regards Daniel

Hello Julian, The 'dust bin' looks great, love the open hatch with its hold-open hook and latches. Hmmmm, Those Vickers' do look strangely familiar with their brass end-caps. I wonder where you might possibly have gotten that idea! Al

Thanks Daniel I will look into this idea for the canvas dodgers I thought it had good scale effect.

Sad to hear the sea trials were not as successful as you hoped.

Go "Team S-100"!

Cheers

The Kapitan is still watching the neighbours bedroom window Daniel, no signalman in the pulpit?

Excellent crew though, I am still waiting for the Italeri Vosper crew, (probably all drunk at the "Rogered Rabbit" )

Can I contribute to this forum using the same build that I want to use in the Model Shipwrights MTB campaign or does it have to be a separate build.

Ahoy Darrell

Feel free to post away.

Warren was only joking around.

Like their Allied counterparts, there are a lot of variations between Schnellboote of the S-100 class. After looking at photos in the new edition of "Schnellboot in Action", I decided to modify the back of the wheelhouse to more closely match S 204, named 'Lang', after her skipper. She had an added platform spanning the gap between the two smaller ones.

The circular object is a container for a portable signal lamp, there was also a small narrow box mounted next to it. The kit has several helmet racks located back there, but 'Lang' had only two single racks (still to be added). The two supporting poles molded to the small platforms were fragile and prone to breakage (ask how I know), so I cut them off and replaced them with two lengths of 1/32" brass rod cemented into the deck housing instead. The PE step was also relocated from the starboard side to port. Finally, I'm including a pic of the completed ammo lockers, the PE hinges are from the Eduard set.

The handles are from the kit, these are extras supplied for the inside of the deck hatches, if posed open. That's about it for now. Al (PS) Feel free to "tear them to shreds", Warren!
