That 88 is huge You could fit that on stern of the S-100
There are no reviews online yet, I only found one set of photos. Biggest complaint so far online is the limited number of paint schemes. Of course I have the Dragon 88 in my stash with a large collection of scheme to copy on this monster. Are you going for grey or the desert yellow base coat?

The 20mm painted and fitted, more work on flying bridge, ventilators and the engineroom entrance:

Starting to look the way I wanted this build to look

In the process of fitting a brass skin to that rather doubtful dustbin astern of the bridge. should be interesting

Hey Julian, Now that looks awesome, really like the paint job on it. Adding the 20mm makes it look meaner. Are you going to add the splinter shield or leave as is?

The wheelhouse gave me that feeling Simon, the little chart table with the lamp and ashtray mounted on the bulkhead. Reminded me of when I went to sea. The flying bridge must have been the scene of some vicious little battles on the North sea and in the Channel though. From the East coast of the UK to IJmuiden is a very short trip for these boats.

Seeing we seem to be only loosely following the Channel Adversaries theme I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen one of these?

In this direction madness lays??

The one in the picture is all metal except the canopy.. Either pre-bent photo-etch or white metal. But I can't afford one at the moment..

1/32 all metal? That will give your postal kangeroo a hernia to start off with. Just out of curiosity, how much are they asking for that model?
Gearing up for another wildly exciting Grand Prix in the US of A today I can see the headlines already, Vettel wins 8th Grand Prix in a row, Pirelli's last one lap if used carefully, Ecclestone ecstatic over the excitement of the race Webber can't match Vettel's pace even though the cars are identical, (no, really, they are, no one has tampered with Mark's car or given him the second choice parts, really ). Other drivers don't bother to start and give First, Second an Third places to Vettel. All drivers given two drive through penalties for trying to drive faster than Vettel. Vettel waves "stinky finger" at crowd, crowd boo back as usual.
Yep, back to the boring old Schumacher procession days. Think I'll watch the paint dry on my model, high tension viewing compared to Formula 1, ( or what used to be F 1 before the castrated tyres were introduced).

It started going downhill when they narrowed the cars tracks and introduced all the aero crap on them making overtaking almost impossible. Brick-wall brakes don't help either.

And you are 100% correct about watching paint dry. Personally the grass grows very quickly here at this time of year and there is more overtaking in my lawns than on a modern GP, and watching it grow is even more exciting.

Kit price, around $400 delivered to my door..

Weight, about 3 kilos only.

Desirability, off the scale, for me anyway..

Affordability, also off the scale at the moment..

But I will have to find some way to get one..

November 17th update:

Working on the "Dustbin " twin Vickers turret. The outside of the bin clad with brass, (a complete waste of time with a healthy dose of hindsite). The innards are built up from brass pieces in the Griffon set. The ammo bins, foot plates and switches have been fitted. Work on the framework and seat underway.

All for now, this is slow progress time again after the bridge

Yes, well, yes. That is why the door of the dustbin is open, but I still won't see anything........Why the hell did I buy the Griffon set anyway

P.s. Christian Horner will be pleasantly but very unexpectedly surprised that Vettel won the the American Grand Prix which still has to start. What a surprise

You bought it for all the lovely stuff it gives you for all the parts you can see of the boat. I am just as stupid putting ladders in places you will never see again on ships, and stuff in the wheelhouse of the Vosper that will be forever out of view.

Proably a dumb question, but does anyone have or know where I could still P/U a set of the Elco crew from Italeri?
Hey Julian, dust bin is gonna look fantastic. Though proably most will be out of site even with the door open, it's just cool looking. Between yours and Al's build I'm getting pretty excited to start mine. Still waiting for the broken/short shot parts to get sent from Italeri. Aint goona start till I have all the parts together.
That site for SWS is amazing.
