November 9th update: Some problems at work and the sudden demise of my central heating boiler have been keeping me away from 234 this week. Today I had some time I could spend on the Vosper:
I have painted the inner side panels of the flying bridge. The blueish tint to the windows is caused by the Vallejo maskol. The clearview screens have been fitted, painted etc. Look good IMHO.
I am now working on the fliying bridge control panels. The plan is to get this all glued together, to work away any gaps and the spray the outside before fitting the whole chunk to 234.
I might even get away with this:

Been away on my sons school camp for a few days.

Nice work Daniel and Julian what can I say.

Real nice work indeed.

Humbling indeed - makes my efforts pale in comparison.

Cheers

Its not a competition Sean, I have very much enjoyed your Airfix E-Boat build. I remember building that one when I was at the Nautical College in Den Helder training to be a merchant mate. I end up on ocean going tugs and supply vessels, tough, overpowered and seaworthy little ships built to do all sorts of thing you are not supposed to do at sea.
Cheers,
Julian

But that hurts is not a competition!!! I was thinking to light fire in the night to 234. Demons!!!

jajajajajajaja

Friend Sean Nothing of competition you eat it might compare me with my colleagues of post .... I go out losing obviously for spate of goals. The spirit here is to learn, and to amuse itself among friends counting ours to live daily and to make scold Warren ... jajajajjajajajajajajjaj ...... certainly your E-boat is brilliant !!!!

uuupppssss I forgot ...... your work it is impeccable!! I like it too much you go to achieve that it ends up by arming a Vosper!!!!!!!

One of the great Australian myths.. no one calls women sheilas here.. Dunno where it came from..

Was away for a few days and am busy with Aeroscale campaigns at the moment. Am watching quietly in the background. Wouldn't want to upset the Hun..

Glad to hear all is well. I knew an Australian girl called Sheila though so there must have been at least one
Daniel has his nasty pointy fishy things factory working full time. Thanks for the tip on the Vosper's windbreaker, (and no, I don't mean the Captain). With a mixture of CA and Gator Grip I managed to get it cobbled up in one afternoon. It is an improvement on the kit's part, more to scale.

Thanks for the kind words Julian & Daniel.

And you are both very wise to clarify that its not a competition.

Daniel what type of paint did you use on the torpedoes - they look great.

By the way over the Tasman here in good ol New Zealand we still refer to woman as "sheilas".

Cheers

Testors Chrome Silver is a lovely paint to brush and spray for a finish as good as alclad. I have also found Gunze Mr Metal series are just as good as Alclad but can come off when you mask if you are not careful. Vallejo Model Air Aluminium is fantastic as well but make sure you only use water to thin it, nothing else. And it is a myth that Model Air paints are right to spray straight out of the bottle.
The Gunze Mr Metal series don't need thinning or fancy undercoats either.

As a girl;s name Sheila is rare but used, but calling all woman sheilas, no not here..

Great work by the way Daniel, but the torpedoes are going in the tubes so why not just paint the noses? Where did this lead before??

Julian, it is looking like deja vu after mine, except for those weird colourful dunny rolls..

I will now get back into my cage and shut up..

The Testors paintwork is excellent Daniel ! Better than I did with Alclad. You will love Kenny's Gator Glue, really great stuff to work with.
You notice that Warren doesn't know Sheila but Sean does

You see? He does that all the time, "dunny rolls" indeed!

I think we should have a cultural exchange in Australia at my place.. Uruguay, Holland, sorry The Netherlands, Un Zud and Austraylya and lots of other countries could be represented. We may need a translator for Daniel though as I don't know Spanish at all.. except for OLE!! and those sort of words.. Oh and I know Platte, as in River, means silver..
Accommodation is at Casa Inman. Different ethnic foods could be cooked each night and we could do exciting things like go and see the HMAS Brisbane memorial on the Sunshine COast!!.. Ih wait, the white pointers on the beach would probably be a little more exciting..

Cheers

Would be fun Warren, but the logistics of this are mind blowing.
