Wow Michael!

I'm amazed at how you mask over all that fine PE work and still manage to get such crisp lines!

I'd have little to no chance at such a feat: I'd either end up destroying the PE or have that many paint bleeds, I would be spending as much time with a hairy stick as a I did masking it in the first place!

*** UPDATE ***

Once the black/white stripes were finsihed, all parts of the superstructure received a layer of Future as sealing before the weathering.
Then a first washing with highly thinned black oil color follows... then one with brown oil color... the woode decks received also one washing with light grey oil colors.
After a little drybrushing a layer of mattlack followed.

The parts of the superstructure is ready for the next steps now ....












Next steps.... glazing of the windows.... then painting of the details (hoses, signal lamps, ...).... then mounting the super structure on the main deck.... floor by floor... and adding stairways, handrails and further details ....

that is just one impressive build!!! Congratulations again on your baltic camouflage, that's about the best I've seen on a model Bismarck I can recall!!

Your weathering looks very nice, as well - subtile but very effective! Great job!

*** UPDATE ***

Several parts of the kit were replaced by Pontos etched parts. The catapult is made of etched and turned brass parts. One side remains in standart position, the other side in extended position.
Also the two bridges were made of pe parts new... consisting of several very small parts too

All parts were painted before being glued in position:










Next step - floor by floor, parts being glued on the main deck, railways, stairs and other small parts added .... stairs painted 2-color, steps in dark grey, sides in grey/white. All equipment on the captains bridge were painted grey/black-grey, some signs were added in yellow, white or black on different equipments and on chests.

Also several furher details on the walls were added suchas life-rings, pipes, etc. The windows received their glasses too....

The masts are made completely new with brass- and etched parts.... for more stability some parts are soldered instead glued.....








After the painting the first mast is glued behind the superstructure. Once fixed several brass parts were added which are linking the mast to the superstructure.





Next steps.... rear mast painting and installing.... then i will go on with the cranes ...
