Congratulations on your second commissioning of the weekend!! Fantastic work, mate - she really turned out great!!

The aircraft really change the entire appearance, that's a very nice touch!

Great work on a very special looking ship!

Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan,

I did enjoy the build, nice to find a kit with no real vices.

Now I have room on the bench for Bismarck!

Cheers

Got a couple of pics of Indy posted in the Gallery today.

Will find some of Laffey shortly and add those.

Tamiya 1:350 USS Fletcher

I seem to have let this build fall behind for some reason, but I did get a bug the other day to do some work and knocked out some detailing of the sub-assemblies. I replaced the cannons with hollow tubing and added PE doors to pretty much everything. Unfortunately I chiseled away some of the finer details so had to replace things like handrails. I don't think I'll manage to finish in time but who knows, I might pull off a Hail Mary.

Very late start, I may not be able to complete this in time but I will definitely try to finish this no matter what. This is my 1/350 DD-484 Buchannan, 1942 configuration. I have made a lot more progress since this photo was taken. I am almost done gluing plastic sub-assemblies. Next is to work in both the kit supplied and Gold Medal Models photoetch sets.

I have a little project that is perfect for this and a break from some of my more ambitious (and thus unfinished) projects.

For this I am building the 1/48 Eduard Weekend Edition kit #8461 P-400 Airacobra. Since this kit is a weekend edition it includes only one marking scheme and no photoetch, although I have obtained the appropriate Eduard Paint Mask set to make my life easier. The included marking scheme is for an aircraft from Henderson Field in 1942.

Here are some starting pics of the box:

Thanks

Finally posted the correct pics to the Gallery, two of the Chikuma and two of the laffey.

If somebody could wither tell me how to remove the two labelled "Indy" or do it, which ever is easiest.

Many thanks

Cheers

I too have finally added photos of the I19

So far she seems to have survived the trip across the world.

I cant say the same for the Musashi or the Maya -
