Lion Roar has announced a host of 1/350 photo etch upgrades for numerous 1/350 naval kits.
These photo etch sets are:
1/350 WWII IJN Ship Cable Reel - PE Detail Set
1/350 WWII German Navy Ship Cable Reel - PE Detail Set
1/350 IJN Battleship "Mikasa" Super Upgrade Conversion Set for Hasegawa
1/350 WWII IJN Battleship "Yamato" Super Upgrade Conversion Set for Tamiya (New Version)

These sets will be available in April of 2012.

What exactly can one accomplish with the Missouri conversion set?

Willem, The USS Missouri set covers pretty much everything. The conversion updates the kit to the ship's 1991 configuration There is a tremendous amount of parts with the set including all of the turned barrels, resin parts and tons of photo etch.

Are you sure about the 1991 conversion because it looks like 2 seaplane catapults are included and the showcase model is painted in WW2 configuration?

Hi Willem, Personally, I do not have the set, but judging from the box description and parts, the set appears to adequately update the ship...within reason. The Missouri was not one of the ones listed on this new update, but with a quick look around there was a few images of the set in use...
