1350

Admiralty Model Works has released new 1/350 items for the Essex class carriers. There is a Deck Vehicles Set and an Ordnance Set. These are mostly printed parts and have exceedingly fine detail. I am very happy that these are now offered - they are perfect for my USS Lexington. Just look at the photos.
These are mostly 3D printed parts and have exceedingly fine detail.

The parts include trolleys, bombs, torpedos, emptry racks, Bombs on trolleys, empty trolleys, deck Vehicles, cranes, jeeps and mototugs.

The jeeps even have steering wheels and bumpers printed on them. The moto-tugs are very cool - there is a full complement of jeeps and tugs which were embarked on these ships. The crane comes in two configurations - opened and closed.

For the later war carriers, these parts are must haves to accessorize the deck of the carrier. They may be purchased from their web-site:

Does this mean we might see Cold War version for our Angle-Deck Intrepids? Or maybe even modern ones for our Nimitzes and Wasps and Enterprises? That would be completely awesome!

I'd like to see AMW make some replacement Kriegsmarine boats and launches in 1/350 and 1/700. Their RN boats are awesome in either scale.
