Further to my earlier news story of the 14th of September 2010 the folks at White Ensign Models are now in the very advanced development stages in the release of their 1/350th U.S. Nasty Class Fast Patrol Boat as part of their “Narrow Seas” series.
We understand that the current development status is as follows:
1. Mr. Peter Hall has finished the pattern;
2. Mad Pete of White Ensign Models has provided a PE set to fully arm and detail the kit;
3. The expected release date is approximately 12 weeks.
The USN used these heavily-armed (40mm Bofors, 20mm Oerlikons, 81mm mortar, .50-cal. machine guns) 80-foot boats for SEAL-team insertions and various other "black" operations in Vietnam,
While most were painted in overall Riverine Green, at least one--PTF-17--wore a gray-green-black pattern and we also understand that White Ensign Models are attempting to gather enough information to offer that as a painting alternative in the instructions.

We will of course update you as more information comes to hand.
Please note that these prices are approximate and indicative only as supplied by the Vendor.
The final precise retail price of any item to a purchaser can be uncertain at any time due to various variables.
Therefore we recommend that the final precise retail price should be verified with the Vendor.
