It is very probable .... after the capitulation of Italy. The old allies decided not to supply with inputs, fuel, oil etc tec

Warren I repeat you ... each one ends his models of the way that more likes. And if to the others he him pleases also, much better!!!

Yes!!!! Italeri some Russian would have to add his Gunboats ... I incline for Tuppolev G5 or G6 Please Italeri!!!!!! And since we are asking ..... add to Leichte-Schnellboote LS-1 to 12 in 1/35 too

Daniel, Julian,

Great works, feels like I could step on board both boats.

Truly impressive.

That wheelhouse is truly amazing Daniel. Looks like a photo of the real thing. Your weathering skills are amazing.
You are probably right about the capitulation and the Italians telling the German boat to go away when thyey wanted fuel etc, if not actually firing on them to drive them away.
As we are still asking, I would like some of the larger British torpedo boats like the one in the photo. I have some 1/350 WEM boats I will build after I finish the Graf Spee.
Cheers
Warren

Yes, Warren, it was to be 1/35 and there were several different versions. Al

Knock yourself out Les, in the closed wheelhouse this will stick out like a sore thumb

Sorry? As I'm not a 'regular' on this forum maybe I'm missing some in-joke? To use my local vernacular, are you taking the piss?

Where are they located? If they are in the wheelhouse you have one small door that goes into the wheelhouse and you can see stuff all through that. I also wonder why I bothered with all the detail work in the wheelhouse when you can't even see it when it is finished.
Oh well...

The access below decks is provided by steps that should be in place of the righthand 'cupboard' door under the map table, the table hinges up.

Quite right, it won't be easy to see, but then again I like adding detail and the wheelhouse is an area where I can indulge myself as I see fit.

I've ordered the Griffon set, as I said, I'm a little surprised they missed this because there is so much detail they have included.

Only slightly I have just spent the weekend adding details that will mostly all be not visible when I close up the wheelhouse. The addition of a set of steps that also will not be visible should not be a reason to loose any sleep unless you are one of the " men who stare at rivets"..............

Thank you sir! I test fitted the sides and roof and the chart table is about all that can be clearly seen of the aft bulkhead.
That was without the clearview screens with the hulking great motors attached Difficult enough to look out let alone in methinks......................

Oh I see.

I wasn't going to lose any sleep over the matter, all I was going to do was build build my model the way I wanted too, adding details and improving on the kit because its a hobby and I enjoy doing things like that.

Alas that approach seems to mark me out as a subject for ridicule so I'll just give the whole thing a miss from here on then.

BTW, wheres the little smiley gif for flipping you the bird?

Ding ding ding... I think that is enough Gentlemen.

These forums are supposed to be for friendly banter and ribbing, not flipping people the bird etc.

Les, you were not being put up for ridicule. Julian was meerly sticking up for the Griffon PE set not having the descending stairs in it that, after the model is completed, will not be able to be seen anyway. He was not slagging you off for adding details to to your build. As you stated earlier, taking the piss so to speak.

I also added lost of stuff to the wheelhouse you can't see anymore, and even worse for me one of my clear-view wiper thingies has come adrift and if you look through the window you can see it hanging there.

Do you have a blog running regarding your build? I would love to see some pictures of your work.

Now kiss and make up..

Cheers

Bless you Warren, you seem to have been hanging around the Wombat colony

Now you have to put crewmen on board as the gun can't move without someone being in the mount to make it move..

October 25th update:
Lots of metal work, "busying" up the flying bridge. Also experimenting with Kev's method of making signal flags:

Hi Warren, glad you like the bog paper
The cook on board is evidently a Balti and Vindaloo expert.
The culinary time out was fantastic: Oysters, duck, wild boar, quail and a very excellent collection of wines to accompany all the magnificently cooked courses. At the moment I am wondering whether to get the trusty treadmill up and running to try and loose some weight after all these antics.
I have also bought some new additions to the stash: Eduard's 1/4th scale Bf 109-E instrument panel, really nice, and Hasegawa's Su-33 eggplane, which is completely mad .
Also a lot of paints, files, etc. great fun
