Construction of the wrecked bow.
The deck levels marked with masking tape.
The decks and structure starting to go in.
detail being added to the interior of the superstructure.
Need to double check the photos, but the superstructure is nearly ready for some paint.

Small amount of progress.
Paint going on the superstructure interior.
A bit of detail painting.
More structure going in the hull going in, lots more if these shots to come.
Another medication, the hatch in the front of the bridge structure needs opening, drilled out, it has to ne squared off.

More work on the bow.
studying the photographs it appears the lockers around the superstructure were ditched, so the holes are filled.
More detail going in.
The hull plating for the starboard side cut to shape and curved for fitting.
Fitted.
The rough final shape of the foredeck drawn in.
cut to shape.
needs roughing up a bit yet,
The open hatch in the front of the bridge tidied up and an etched cover fitted.
More soon.

They are interesting, but as you say Russ, not the easiest thing to do.
This still has a very long way to go, and there is quite a lot I have no idea how I am going to tackle it yet. Still as the old saying goes, "I am not going to take my fences till I have to"

Your twin Norway efforts have actually reversed the process. I was so impressed following both of these builds, that I realized I know next to nothing about the campaign in Norway, so I have set out to study it so I might better appreciate what you have done.
I started with a German account, then on to what the RN had to say. It usually works the other way around. See what you started.

I like your style, if looks cool, build it. I guess I am just a modeller with a love of history, and trying to work out which is came first is a pointless exercise.
Apart from the History, the challenge of doing something different was the inspiration for this project, so it is both.
The important thing is we enjoy what we are building. This one, I am really enjoying the experience, at the moment....

Busy weekend at Southern Expo, but still managed to get a bit more work done at southern Expo.
The keel and structure under the deck fitted.
The hull plating fitted.
Details going in the open end.
Railings on B gun deck, they need netting fitted, but that was quite dishevelled in the photos.
