Hi Jba,
the invisible paint I use wears off after a few days

Thanks for the feedback, hoping to get this one loaded up and finished soon lol, lol. Not being able to use the dozer means another vehicle. I'm thinking a Tamiya jeep, converted to either a radio version or an RASC version
Cheers

Hey Alan. She's looking very nice!
Every time I see the sailor popping out of the hatch, I can here him fussing under his breath about the two paras looking very important while he's slaving away below deck.

Hi Kenny,
Thanks. I'd thought of remodelling his uniform to that of a boiler suit (he's a German body anyway) which might be more appropriate. I know that anyone with a pack on looks like a para but these two guys are Royal Marine Commandos lol, lol. Red beret for the Paras, Green for the Commandos.
As always thanks for the feedback, love your cannon blasts.
Cheers

Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Just so you don't think he'll look lonely here's some pics of some other I'm working on to fill up the boats/beach

At the end of the day, all the big guns, aircraft and tanks you can muster still require the Infantry to take and hold the ground lol, lol.
I'm sure I can russle up a mate for the medic along the way.
As always thanks for looking and the feedback, a valid point.
Cheers

Hi Bruce,
These are not all for one boat lol, lol
The bulk of the Commandos will be for the LCA

and I have this fellow too

These were the first boats I built about 2 years ago Bruce, but I never got around to making any loads or passengers for them. I did try a deep wading M7 Priest for the LCM 3 but it was wrong for the time period as the bulk of the armour came of LCTs.
Cheers

Looking good Alan
And my guess on the RN x RM "argue" is:
RN - I'll bet that you'll get seasick in no time, mate!
RM - Aye... I guess you're right! I'll puke down your hatch, than...

Full of action your small big dios, Alan

Hi Bruce,
The boats in their orignal build are shown here Under Military Support Vellels
Landing Craft Trio
http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net//features/952These are the 3 I hope to use in my Nan Red Project. I diidn't have that much experience when I built them which is why I wnat to tart them up a bit as I complete the loads and passengers.
The more recent attempts are shown here again under Military Support Craft
http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net//features/1280These are for my Pier 51 Project.
Skipper kindly did a feature on them for me.
Hi Skipper,
Been a while but I am getting around to loading them up lol,,lol.
Cheers

Hi James,
Welcome along to the site. Glad you enjoyed the pics and thanks for your comments on the figures. I'm hoping to get the passengers and loads done for the LCM 3 and LCA by end Feb, at least that's the plan, at the same time I'll tart the boats up a bit as my painting skills have move on a bit since I originally built them.
Cheers

Greetinmgs all,
Well I've started a little work on the FM LCA. Dirtied up the upper deck a bit and done some work on the wooden flooring and benches. I've al so been working on trying to complete some of the pasengers who will be disembarking from the craft.
Apologies for the pics, taken indoors with the flash so some htings look a bit too bright and some of the detail of the deck has been killed off.
Anyway this is my proposed layout for the troops.
Still to add the anchor, some stores/boxes on the seats, fire buckets of course and the boat hooks plus a Bren and some ammo boxes for the front port fighting compartment. I'm currently pondering the RN crew who are likely top be replaced, fnding suitable bodies that fir the scene ios not easy though.

I have a few to many NCOs on the boat lol, lol - headquarters staff lol, lol. Still a fair bit to do on the figs, but I did make some progress!!
Cheers

PM Update
I thought it might make the boat a bit more intereting if I added some laods to the roof. I've seen pics of them with kit on the top, some stretchers, medical boxes and some ammo boxes.
Fire buckets installed, no pic, hooks added, again these seem to have been stored on the roof and I'm using a bren and mount from the universal carrier to mount the MG,later.

Comments welcome.
