A word of warning about the BWN Enterprise. I remember that some years ago a professional ship model builder in the UK built one for the IWM's site at Duxford and he reported that the instructions were a bit of a horror story. One thing that sticks in my mind is a step which said that there was a part that needed to have been added at an earlier stage and which would now not fit. It was as though the instructions had been written while building it but nobody had thought to re-order them afterwards. Now this was well over a decade ago so with luck, they have since been improved but it might be wise to read them from start to finish before starting any assembly. Count all the parts too - I think he was missing a few from his kit.
Having seen the finished model that he built, it does look very impressive, although the nameplate, presumably provided by someone else, claimed that it was 1/35 scale!

Nice work Sascha!
Another warning about the BWN CV-6. Resin shrinks, photo etch does not. The hull comes in three large chunks; bow, midship and stern. If you glue them together as is and get to the point in assembly where you install the photo etch flight deck, you'll be sorry as the deck will be too long.
When I started (but not finished) mine, I first made photocopies of the deck pieces and taped the copies together. Then I cut out the copies around the fore and aft elevators. Since the hull parts include the hanger deck with elevator wells, I could use the deck copy to line everything up and see how much material I had to add between the three chunks. The answer was, a lot.
It's a great model, but you've got to work it.

Well performing careful surgery on the decals has worked out rather well. Many decals required surgery before and after being applied to make them fit around the contours of the ship. The bottom of saucer turned out okay. There are a couple of thin lines where the pieces that I cut of that big decal ended up overlapping as they were drying, but it is only noticeable up close. At arms length you really have to search for it.
You can see one big tear on the engineering hull. I am going to have to put some battle damage there I think.

Well,
Now that I failed miserably at my own campaign and an extension has been granted I can finish this one.
I have done most of the hard PE work on the nose

man those inside frames are a

.
Now I just have the instruments and consoles and I can glue the cockpit halves together.
Cheers Rob.

It's coming along,
Although I am having some issues with the cockpit

between my eyes and the soft molding on some of the pieces it's taking longer than it should.
Once the cockpit is done it should go alot faster.
Cheers Rob.
