Lookng good Keith, like the base.
More progress, Learning to play with my airbrush, so I thought I would have a go at a bit of pre shading.

Not bad for a first go, I thought.
The top coat was added from a rattlecan, built up in layers, same with the to ends of the torpedos
Went a bit too far maybe with the topcoats, but not unhappy with the result.

Click on the picture you want to add in your Gallery. Then there is a little icon to the right of the web address for the thumbnail. Click on that and copy and paste that address into your reply.
You may be right, I may be crazy.

I have tried 3 times (to post a pic) and gotten nothing ( deleted previous attmepts). This has become tedious and not worth the amount of effort I have expended. So sorry no pix for proff unless you want to go to my gallery to verif. At one time the process to do this was quite simple.

The ends of the torpedos masked ready to shoot some paint at the centre sections.

dark camo on the upper hull added. I am not 100% on the pattern as I can only find two pica, both of the same side.

the white patches added and the painted torpedos dry fitted.

more soon,

Nice builds everyone - i better join in with a modern era black cigar
This is a kit i got almost for free yesterday at a local show, the Hobby Boss 1:700 Oscar II class submarine:
Its a very easy build - especially considering that I am going to waterline it and use it as a testbed for that special wake that these modern subs create around the fronts.
5 parts and 15 minutes later it looks like this:
Fit around the sail and the hull is not the best, but some surfacer 500 took care of that little issue.
Cheers/Jan

Thanks Jan
Some great looking subs coming on!!!!
Good news, the Biber trailer is on it's way. Bad news still can't post anything to the gallery.
Think I will leave the trailer & long dock for a seperate build, don't think i have time to finish it for this campaign.

OK What am I doing wrong. I go to my gallery pick the photo I want to put in a message click on it find the little color image next to it..click on it. I then see the html code... copy it. I start a reply click on the img button... put my copied code there..deleteing the "put your inage here" words....and nothing. Can someone give me simple step by steps so I can contribute?

If you right-click the picture itself, a little shortcut menu will appear. About 1/3 of the way down is an option to "copy image location". Click that, and the URL of the picture will be copied to the Windows clipboard. Then switch to your posting window (I like to have two tabs open so I can switch back and forth), and click the {img} button. Paste your picture's URL into the image code which appears and that should do it.

Steve-
This is the ip of the pic:
You can retrieve it by right-clicking on the pic in the gallery and select "save picture URL".
Then back to your posting, choose the [IMG] symbol and then paste in the adress correctly.
Nice little selection you got there, btw!
Cheers,

Okay, here's your problem. You have nested code which is confusing the forum software.
Your image URL should be
http://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/500/sub_campaign_002.JPGThere's a redundant "http://{url=", a redundant "}" and you don't have the ending /. (I have to replace the square brackets with { so they show up in my comment.)
What your image embedding code should look like is this (Don't forget that you need to replace the { and } with square brackets to make it work:
{img}http://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/500/sub_campaign_002.JPG{/img}
