Hi Mark & Russ,
Not just these two, there will another albeit smaller pair.
They are not as scary as you would think, the Pontos spreaders are very nicely done, I wish they would sell set of the separately, the copper wire also gives a little stability.

The long slow process of the Cage aerial.
the fourth and fifth strands added.
fitted and removed ready to be turned over and ready for the remaining three strands to be added.
with a bit of luck I will get these two finished this weekend. I think I will finish off the lowered davits before I tackle the other two cage aerials.

That can be a little tricky, as there is always the danger of springing a wire out of the end spider.

More cage aerials,
all eight stands on, and the ends trimmed.
The ends gently bent inwards in line with the arm f the spider to which it is attached. the wires attached to fit them between the yard arms.
sprayed a steel colour and fitted in place,
an overview.
More soon.

The etched spiders make it somewhat easier than it looks. Mind, it still test my knowledge of
trying to get the wires to sit straight on them.

Finishing rigging the Davits for the lowered boats.
the first of the lowering tackles made up.
both tackles made up and painted ready for fitting.
First tackle in place.
Fitting the rest of rigging.
All done.

The etched spreaders are a big help, they give the cage structure whilst it was being assembled. I would struggle without those. I hope you can find something that would work for the submarine.

The pulleys were scratchbuilt, there is a bit of plastic rod the copper wire is fixed to, the cover plates were shaped and cut from thin plastic strip.
