That's a nice collection of models you are building Simon. You will love the Typhoon when you get around to building it

Nice one Simon.

A small parcel arrived from WEM, plus I brought home some items from a living history show yesterday.

HMS Middleton - Hunt class DE

The Kriegsmarine cap to dress up my displays at shows (oh it does fit) and the U-boot service badge to go on the bases of my U-boots

Thanks Julian,

At the moment most of it is adding to the energy efficiency of the house. Looking forward to stating the Typhoon, but that will be next year sometime.

Looks interesting Luciano, what is the Hunt kit like, built the ISW HMS Hesperus and found the castings a bit hit and miss.

Simon give me two or three weeks and I'll get a review together, it is one of their older kits from what I understand, the hull is good but does require a fair amount of clean up. While I'm in the zone all my spare time is at the bench for the moment.

Thanks Russell, I'll post photos when I build but no build log. It must be me but when ever I start a blog the project stalls after a half dozen posts hence the slipway thread as I can post all sorts with out getting bogged down in a blog.

Anyway postie brought these:

I can highly recommend Tarrant's KGV book! Not only a good reference, but also a good read!! After reading it I bought the 'Battleship Warspite' as well by Tarrant, mainly because of the author, and it's a great book as well!

I agree Jan: Tarrant's King George V book is my most prized book in all my naval library! Even ranking above RA Burt's battleship series!

It's hard to find, but is a great read... It would be great to see it re-issued and brought up to modern printing standards with new pictures and so on, but we could be waiting a long time for that

Simon you did miss a great show this year, I should add that the Swordfish box contains two 1/350 scale 3D printed aircraft one with torpedo one without, I also picked up the L'Arsenal 1/350 Sunderland and PB5Y Catalina.

Anyone know of a 1/350 Liberator, Beaufighter, Ju-88 and Fw-200?

Postie arrived with a parcel the other day and I made a trip to my LHS.

LHS had the WEM Belfast pe so had to get it, shame I missed out on the correction set.

Can you guess from the decals what the next purchase will be?

Look what dropped from Santa's bag....well, kind of

This one is just amazing - even though it's not next up in line:

Apologies for the poor quality pictures, don't have my camera with me...

And this here is a fine surprise, just discovered it from a German dealer. Long awaited fix to the main armament issues of HMS Belfast:

I hope you all had great holidays and I wish you all the best for 2015 and may it become a good year for modeling...
