In this case I am not sure if they were identical with cover directly, but it was common not to do and if to extend a great flag. In end I was not there sorry jejejje

Hi Daniel,
that is another interesting link
I think the swastikas might be a good idea. The Trumpeter decals supplied with the kit just fell apart when I put them in water.
Cheers,
Julian

That is very strange Julian as Trumpeter decals are normally excellent.

ary 27th update:
I have been working on the armament of the Bismarck: blast-bags,(took the plunge and bought some Milliput white with rubber gloves. Wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be), the secondary armament and AAA.

They may have looked great but they were not very effective against obsolete, slow biplanes..

But be that as it may you are doing a wonderful job on him Julian.

We have only just got power back after about 24 hours hence no earlier praise.

Cheers

Thanks Warren,
hope you are keeping your feet dry and the house un-fried down there in Queensland mate. According to the media you are having a hard time down under.

Hi Julian.
Thanks for the kind thoughts.
We got fried for about a month with high temps then got 300mm of rain in about 18 hours and winds of over 100km/h at times for about 48 hours. But today as dawned still and clear but the rivers are not expected to peak until later in the day. Luckily we are way too high to be affected but everything is still very soggy.
Oh, and there is another 'weather event' on the way..
Cheers mate

Don't worry Daniel I am sure it is not too far away.

I did have to bend down a bit for the photo but you get the idea.

Now I just have to hide it before I go and pick my Wife up from work..

Congrats Warren, the monster has arrived. The box looks a little squashed on the left-hand corner, no damage I hope?

Looks like he's hiding in the box Russel
His wife will probably whack him over the head with a didgeridoo for buying this little model

All is well Julian. It was the side of the hull that wasn't supported by the internal boxes.
Thank goodness didgeridoos are not common or that scenario just might occur.
Our indigenous sisters are more likely to be seen chasing their bloke down the street with a tall beer bottle than a didg. I have seen it with my own eyes.
@ Russell, don't get too excited mate as the detail kit has to arrive yet..
