Should have known there would be an Oz-style catch. I would probably end up being mugged by Koala's too

We do have koalas here, but they are more interested in each other than us.
We have a few spare bedrooms here so I think you would be fine.

But anyway, how is the Big B coming along Gentlemen?
You may be right, I may be crazy.

Hi Warren,
approaching finals really. Fitting the main AAA with the railings at the moment. I will get photos up tomorrow, spent this morning writing the review and taking photos of the Kagero book for the HMS Dreadnought review which I hope will be put online this weekend.
I also ventured into the cobwebby, spidery and rather spooky attic domain where my stash resides to find the Italeri Vosper.
It is rather horrifying to see what you hamster away over the years, (probably could have bought a very nice Volvo with what I spent on pieces of plastic and PE).
At the moment also chilling an excellent Rosé to parry the extremely hot Dutch weather, well, maybe a glass or two while Mrs. Gremlin56 works her culinary magic

 Cheers mate,
start warming up your Vosper, on September 1st we rock and roll with Daniel and his S-100

My plastic model stash pales into comparison to my diecast car collection.. Sad isn't it..

You may be right, I may be crazy.

Hi Andy,
All about having fun mate, no place for rivet counters here

I downloaded the Pontos instructions to see what I was missing.
They are cryptic but not as bad as the Fujimi instructions, they were dreadful and Fujimi gave no support, didn't even answer my e-mails.
Cheers,
Julian

Yes, saw this one too. There are many very spectacular builds of the Big B in progress around the Globe. Pontos does add some very tastey details,
cheers,

August 4th update:
My very sincere apologies for the long delay in posting more photos, real life caught up with me here. At the moment I am stripping down the Bismarck so that I can weather the hull. The deck has recieved a shading along the edges of the superstructure etc. using Tamiya "Smoke". The long railing runs have been fitted and painted and the Bismark's main AAA battery is now installed.
Photos:

More to come but please take note of the following two facts:
1. Please be advised that the photos stored on Photobucket will soon be pulled. I don't do business with PB anymore so it's their good right to pull anything not producing cash but pleased be advised that I refuse to make use of PB's services anymore. If you want to download photo's of my builds, (well, there may be one or two desperate builders out there), better do it fast. The "Slick Pic " snaps will stay on line, (nice guy's who understand what you want).
2. On September 1st all work on the Bismarck will be frozen due to a very interesting Blog that will go up called "Channel adversaries", Daniel Moscatelli, Warren Inman and myself will be doing dire things with Italeri's 1/35 scale S-100's and Vosper's. We hope to put on a show worth watching.
Cheers,

Thank you very much Daniel,
You are too kind

I have pulled the Vosper from my stash and, as you suggested checking how the PE and the model mesh. Should be fun

 Cheers,
Julian

P.s. In the photos of your "light snack"on your U552 build I noticed you are still drinking Cola in a wine glass. I hope you are thinning the Cola down with something suitable like Rum.
Have you ever tried "U-boat fuel"? It's Gin with a drop of Angostura bitters. Gets a pink colour like diesel fuel. Should be a fitting drink for the "Grey Wolves"

That is a beautiful build you going there Jason, really great work. I'll get some photos of my progress,(riggging and AAA), up this morning.
Are you going to do any weathering or are going for the museum finish?

Thanks Julian! I'm loving your work too, the rigging looks great!
I'm still undecided on the weathering; I did some light weathering on the hull a while back but I do like the "museum look" too. I'm thinking about weathering the decks like Michael did on his Bismarck as well; I still haven't found the courage to start yet.

I woud go carefully with the decks Jason, They are easy to spoil and hard to repair.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you, the Big B is really approaching finals now.
I like your Channel adversaries banner

Warren is also preparing for action. Should be fun and a welcome change from the Big B
