Warren, you must live in a big house.
In 1/200 scale the Missouri should be over 53" long with a
6.5 " beam
When the 1/200 after-market P.E. stuff for the Iowa class starts to appear - surely your wallet will start to realize something is happening.

You bet, the PE set will have the average wallet lying moaning on the ground. Congrats though Warren, should be a very interesting model even if it is longer than the average home ironing board

This one..

Trumpeter's 1/200 USS Missouri to be released in September I think.
Hopefully I will have a new job by the time it comes out and I can gather some PE for it. But there is no rush..
And yes, I have a large house I suppose. I have my own hobby room and a large home theatre room where I have my display cases. I also have a large shed I can store lots of stuff in. I am very lucky in that regard.
Cheers all

Not at all mate. You should be proud to show off your work. In fact I am going to go back to your Arizona build when mine eventually reaches the top of the stash.

Hi Daniel, I am completely relaxed after a fantastic holiday in Lisboa, Cascais, Belem and Sintra.
In Belem they have a fantastic Naval museum:

In Lisboa I found a magnificent restored frigate from around 1850:

I evidently don't qualify for an ancient King Tiger for a review here so I bought the latest Academy KönigsTiger model with Cartigraf decals which is very nice. I also treated myself to the new Revell 1/32 Bf 109 G, ( Lifecolour paints have been ordered from the UK, I wanted the "violet grau and Violet braun" shades ). Work on the Big B is proceeding nicely, photos to follow this week.

I have eaten too much good Portuguese food and in Sintra I found an excellent wine-bar with a great selection of magnificent Portiguese wines,( thank you so very much Vasco ) so at the moment I am doing double time on my treadmill to lose some weight.

How are things in Uruguay and when do we start the Channel Adversaries thread my friend?

cheers,
Julian

P.s. I am still considering buying the 1/200 Hornet. I will pass on the rather box-like MIghty Mo.

Nice pics Julian, myself just returned from a roundtrip in southern germany - Stuttgart, Allgäu and Munich I suffer from too much traditional german food, beer and white wines...

Friday I get my Eduard etch for the Bismarck - I will dedicate most of the upcoming weekend to my build.

Personally I will take a pass on the Hornet and the Mo, but the hornet is very tempting, although I fear I will be suffering from Post-Bismarck-build-stress so the hornet would just end up sitting in its box in the basement.

Cheers folks.

The holiday in Lisbon was not part of "a cunning plan" Daniel I will post some more photos of the frigate when I have everything back under control, I have been running around like blue a***d fly this last week at work and at home
Let's mark September 1st as the kick-off date for our combined "Channel adversaries" blog. I am looking forward to doing this build and will be getting my Vosper out of the stash this weekend.
