Hi Jim,
I haven't seen one anywhere on-line yet.

February 3rd update:
Fitted the last blast bag to the main armament, still needs painting. Of course the very last one always looks the best and miliput sets rock hard so I am stuck with this result
I have started working on the superstructure, putting on the base coat; no weathering on hull, shelter-deck, superstructure yet.Still to come
Have done some tentative weathering on the 105's, not sure if this is final version, ( a swab of methylated spirits and all the paint is gone for a second attempt so....................). Okay:

The build is starting to come together now, starting to look like a ship
Cheers,
Julian

Aw Sheesh............. Thanks Daniel, just passing time in a very rainy Holland
The wine was excellent, just heading for an espresso with a brandy and then tomorrow back to work
The 105 is okay like this? I was thinking that too Daniel, How dirty can a ship get in two weeks at sea before getting sunk
Trumpeter made another boo-boo on the superstructure, another wooden deck that they decided was made of steel
I am not going to scribe it though so I an thinking along the line of using dark grey. Not sure yet though.
Cheers,
Julian
Lutjens is hiding in the accommodation having a quick schnapps so that the crew can't see him .........................

So your car is now on your neighbours driveway
I am still trying to figure out where to put this thing when it's finished, I have really no idea at the moment.................

Julian
I have room in the main garage for three cars and a shed with room for four cars, and a carport with room for another two. The Bismarck is much smaller than the kayak (just) so it fits on one of the shelves in the garage with no problems.

Where it will be stored when finished is a problem I will confront when I come to it. Just like you Julian!

Cheers sir

Hi Daniel...I may have room for that many cars but I don't own that many.
As for a 1/72 Tirpitz, the 1/200 Bismarck is about the biggest I will buy. My workbench will need to be expanded to accommodate it.
But enough about my stuff, I wanna see more work on the Bismarcks!

I saw the railings online and you can see all the chain links in the etch. Only problem is they are not custom fitted so to me are too much of a pain in the bottom to use.
And just for you Daniel to prove i am not rich here is my house.

Well, it's not exactly a dunny is it Warren? That is very nice looking abode you have down there in Oz
Plenty of room for a couple more Bismarcks
The stanchion and link route that Eduard have followed is reminiscent of the new Tamiya Yamato. No need for me to worry about it yet and maybe WEM will crack this nut with a good PE solution. The Trumpeter railings I am very underwhelmed by
Cheers,
Julian
P.s. I saw you signed up for the KotS III campaign over on Aeroscale. What do you plan on building or is that still hush hush?

I have to leave some room for the inevitable Tirpitz.

Speaking of which the Revell 1/350 version has risen to the top of the stash so it will be begun fairly soon.

I enjoyed building Revell's Tirpitz. First time I tried using photo etch on a ship. The results make me cringe now but at the time I was seriously proud. Couple of years back of course

No no Mr Sallows, everyone knows that Trumpeter fit is terrible, even if they have never built a Trumpeter kit. All the 'experts' must be right.
But of course you and I know better..
Looking very good Julian.

Hi Daniel.
We have four bedrooms so there would be no problem with you staying for a while. Only problem is it is a long way fron Uruguay to Queensland. I have visited South America and it took a long time to fly to Argentine from Australia. Even longer on the way back due to having to stop in Easter Island to refuel.
Cheers

Superstructure approaching it's highest point now. Lots of rather fragile parts needed strengthening with brass rod.
Still very clean and pristine at the moment.:

It's 2:53am and I am sitting in front of my PC reading MSW. Does that tell you what life is like for me at the moment?
Looking very nice Julian. My detail set still hasn't arrived at the hobby shop in England even though it was supposed to be there weeks ago. No rush I suppose.
Again, looking marvellous mate. Congrats on such a nice build so far.
Cheers

You will love this one Warren,
Trumpeter delivered a very nice base to work from here.
My build is still too clean and too monochrome at the moment,
needs some washes and weathering to liven it up.
cheers mate, thanks for the kind remarks,
Julian
