Thanks guys.
This masking job was relatively easy as they are all straight lines on the hull. Lots of different schemes to choose from for my next Flower build.

Greetings one and all to the next exciting installment of 'The Flower Class'.
The two colours used in the camouflage, beside the white, are Western Approaches Blue and Western Approaches Gree.. as shown in the next picture
The blue is very pale but the Lifecolor paint covers very well once you work out how to use it..
Here are the two colors on the hull..
And finally, here is the ancient airbrush I am using for the Lifecolor paint..
Very old, single action airbrush, refreshingly simple to use after years of dual action 'brushes. This one can spray the Lifecolor paint with very little thinners in it and never blocks the nozzle, unlike with the finer 'brushes.
That's it for now. Join me sometime in the near future for another exciting update to my blog 'Building Revell's 1/72 Flower-Class Corvette'.

Thanks for that Simon. Glad you could drop in.
And here are the results before I mask it up for the anti-fouling. I won't be masking until Friday as I want to give the new paint some time to cure before touching it with masking tape.
Please excuse the mess on the bench.
So I will do some more PEing during the week and submit photos for your viewing pleasure.

Hello all you candle lovers out there.
I went to the candle shop a few weeks ago and they were having a big sale and they had this lovely combo on special and I just couldn't resist.
Isn't it lovely. I just lit them up and sat back and waited to be surrounded by sweet sweet smells. Smell 100% better than than damn CA glue I have been using so much lately on that damn ship I be building,, arrrrr....

Hello everyone.
For all those who think I have bee sitting back doing nuthin' but sniffing candle instead of CA glue you may be surprised to find I have been hard at work on the model, but all that work doesn't look like much at the moment..
This is the engine room skylight and ventilation assembly/ All solid brass so far. That picture shows it without all the little hatch brackets etc fitted. I left some closed to give the model a little interest.
It also has the brackets which hold the covers open in there. And then we have the little brackets etc all fitted.
All I have to do now is make some handles for the covers. But first I have to get some wire thin enough. Think that this is 1/72 scale and how big the handles wold be in real life.. so these are gonna be vewy vewy small....
That's it for now. I'm gonna go back to relaxing and sniffing candles..

Warren... I would reconsider using lit candles anywhere near your workbench, what with all the fumes, etc. I would suggest going with a wickless candle (such as Scentsy)... it would allow you to change the scent as well as is useful for drying small painted items. They even make nautical themed warmers...
On the other hand..... excellent work as usual. This is one of the vessels that has almost pushed me into building a ship model. Then I saw all the work involved and figured that I have all those nice new armor kits that need to be built first....
So I will enjoy your build, and other shipwrights builds also. Thing is that I tend to learn a lot that I turn around and use in the dirty end of the hobby.

Hello Bob and welcome to the build.
Don't worry those candles where out in the dining room, but I do like the idea of the scent producers. Might have to investigate further as a nice aroma in any room , rather than noxious bodily odours for instance which can produce a chuckle, can uplift your spirits.
