I'm probably my own worst enemy in a way cos it slows me down so much

Ahoy Russell
Nice update.
Is the garage/man cave now complete?
Cheers
Sean
yep, the garage/man cave back! Not yet complete, but nice n shiney n new
Good to know your man-cave is back and operative.
The decals need to go on now, then I'll be adding the weathering over the top before sealing it all in under a coat of clear matt.
I like my ships to be museum style when they're full hull, and this means no weathering-not that I'm opposed to weathering, it's just not my style for full hull builds...
), and a very safe and happy New Year!

Hi Russ,
Looking excellent, stunning attention to detail.
Have a great Christmas and new year, and may the man in the red suit leave you something maritime under the tree.
Cheers![]()

I think some extended leave is good for moral at the yard. It seems my workers were quite happy and relaxed and happy to get over all the wine and food of the recent weeks
and always nice to see your King progressing!!

Hi Russ,
great update, color makes such a remarkable difference!!and always nice to see your King progressing!!
As to your choices - at the time when I did my PoW I glued everything in place before applying the clear coat and it worked ok, however, if there is one kit of a major warship that you could build out of the various subassemblies in the very final stage, then it would be the Tamiya PoW/KGV kits due to their clearly separated, boxy structures. No way trying this on the Repulse, but looking back at the PoW actually both ways seem feasible here![]()
Cheers,
Jan

The King is coming on very nicely.
Hope you can wrangle the forward funnel in ok.
