Mark
I asked earlier about the RAF Rescue launch I did in Febuary will it be ok to put some photos of that in the gallery with this one as it is a millitary craft with anti aircraft guns.

Hi Keith!
I must ask you, did you sign up for this campaign before you began the RAF build? If not, I will have to say no, mate, I'm sorry, this entry can't count, as only un-built models are allowed in to be a viable campaign entry, to be fair to all other entrants...but I can offer you the opportunity to have the model (and any others that you have) featured in it's very own "On Display" style feature, such as
this one... If your interested, all I need is about a dozen images of the model(s), zip them up in a file, with any text or details that you may want to add, and send them to me
here!

Ahoy Keith
Thanks for posting the finished diorama.
Man I love your E-Boat it looks superb. Your detail and weathering looks very good.
I also really like the look of the water.
Man oh man my effort thus far is very humble in comparison.
Cheers

Ahoy to everyone! I have been away from the site and model building in general for awhile. I just started in agan and found this thread. Before enlisting I was wondering would anyone object to me adding my M.T.M. Barchino to the mix? I just started her last night. I missed posting around here and would love to get back into it.

Ahoy, Scott,
Welcome back!
Climb on board, mate, make sure that you enlist in the campaign, and get busy!
Looking forward to seeing your first images of your M.T.M, my friend....

Sorry if this is asked and answered in a previous post but would a Pegasus class hydrofoil qualify for this project? It does not fire torpedoes but it is a fast attack craft, which is the modern equivalent to a PT boat.

Ahoy Dave, and no need for apoligies here, my friend....sorry mate, but as per the campaign rules state, "
Any PT type vessel (torpedo's/torpedo tubes/torpedo launching) can be built in any scale, actual or fictional, from any nation and from any time period.", the Pegasus hydrofoil would be a no go in this situation....although would make for an interesting build for sure!
Cheers,
~Gunny

Ahoy Crew,
Well, with everyone building these Gigantic Elco boats - I had to do something different. Attached is a few pics of my build progress with the 1/350th WEM early MTB. I'm doing an example of MTB 89 as used in the Med area.
I still have quite a way to go - but we'll see how this one comes out. Enjoy.....Bruce

Hi Bruce
Good looking MTB - do you have any crew to go along (without being flat PE ones)?
Keep up and keep us posted
Scott (tiger101)
Your Barchino is coming along nice! If you need any further reference check

As for me, wife is recovering from surgery, semester is done (no more whining students asking for their grades!) so I was able to get back to the bench. Will post WIP pics in the next few days..

Rui and James,
Thanks for the kind words. Actually, these pics were taken quite a while ago (about 3-4 weeks). The "Churning Sea" has come along quite a bit since these were taken , with several layers of Modge Podge and different tints of paint being applied.
The Boat has also come along quite a bit. And Rui, I do have some of L'Arsenal's resin figures to paint and add on. These pics were just to let folks know there were other boats besides the Elco's !!! So we'll see how this project comes out. Stay tuned !!!.......Bruce

Ahoy Crew,
It has been a little while, but thought I would update you on HM MTB 89's progress. As you can see it is happening, just slowly, and I still have quite a way to go. If anyone has any constructive criticism or suggestions, please forwrd them on, and remember - this is 1/350th scale - not 1/35 or 1/72 ! Thanks, Bruce

very nice Bruce! and 350 scale, bravo! One observation, the pics look tad on the dark side, hard to look at some of the constructions details. But the paint job and weathering looks great, I also think you did a good job with the main cabin. Looking forward tothe rest! cheers
