Frank, great choice mate, the S-100 is one of my faves! Keep us posted here in this thread with lots of pics and discussion...that's one of my favorite parts of campaigns!
Lim Tee, my son is in High School band, so yes, I can relate, my friend! I checked the Squadron Flyer and there are some figgies in there that just may help you out...
Mr. Passaseo, you always amaze me with your building speed, mate! Keep us posted!
Great job so far, mates, lets make this another successful MSW campaign!

Guy's while waiting for my little MTB's to arrive I have been doing some research and found this which may be of a little interest to those doing PT boats and / or MAS boats (if you can find one).

Great article Luciano. Thanks for sharing.
There is a links at the bottom of that page that took me to the Defenders of American Naval Museum's website. It looks like they have some links to some other cool sites. As the unofficial Official MSW Reference Link Checker, I'll explore these more when I get home from work.
Still no work on the David.
It's calling to me like a siren's song, but I must complete another build first.

Gunny,
I have a question - I noticed the 'Russian Tupolev' boat in your banner, but I could not find anyone producing this kit. Can you help?
Ion, the only one that I know of available now is this one HERE!
Good luck, mate!

Well, I actually started working on the hull of the CSS David this weekend. I have some pin holes to fill and holes to drill for various parts. I also got some basswood to scratch build some of the interior pieces.

Ahoy Mark
The box of the Airfix "E- Boat" has been opened and the kits stand prepared and the dilemma of the hulls and decking reviewed and options for successful assembly considered.
Plus I am trying to finish up the IJN Isuzu.
Regards

Ahoy, Sean!
Sounds good, mate...keep an eye on Grauwolf (Joe Passaseo) as he is building the same kit, and his methods are your gain, mate...you can learn from what he is encountering now, as he's building on a time limit for a show entry date...keep going on your Leyte entry!
Cheers,
~Gunny

Gunny,
That was a great article. I'm so pumped for this kit to get to me. This will also be my first campaign medal since I'm a newly recruited "model shipwright"

Hi Gunny,
Still awaiting the little Fairmiles on back order from WEM
Depending how these turn out I may go for their S-boats as they do 3 versions. Found a photo on the net which I saved but can not remember where I found it of an S-boat flying the White Ensign under way. Now theres a thought
Ciao

Hey Luciano,
Can you post the pick of the s-boat flying the white flag? Be neat to see also could you track down the site you got it from? I try to read and learn about the models as I do them so I can get a feel of what they were about.

Ahoy mates,
Here are some new photos of the progress on the E Boat.
Relocated the drive shafts and replaced them with brass tubing.
Enhanced the torpedo tubes and added the firing mechanism as well
as the door opening mechanism. On the model, this area was completely
devoid of detail.
Enjoy.........
Have a nice day and happy modeling
Joe

I have a bit of an off beat question.....Any one know where I can get a replica of the Kriegsmarine's Schnellboot badge? I've looked around a bit and I seem to be finding originals and those are too expensive, I would like to incorperate the badge and the base of my S-100 together.

Cool idea, Frank!
There are many different affordable replicas available HERE!

Hi Frank,
The picture is on my work pc I'll see what I can do when I get back in as I'm laid up with a painful sprained ankle at the moment.
Joe, looks like the beginnings of another great build.
Ciao

Thanks a big bunch, I didn't even see that site on my own search. Good prices and a good selection.
