Hi Frank,

The picture is on my work pc I'll see what I can do when I get back in as I'm laid up with a painful sprained ankle at the moment.

Joe, looks like the beginnings of another great build.

Ciao

Ahoy mates,

Did some work on the wheelhouse interior.

Detailed the console and made a map table and a radio with headphones.
This will be installed to the rear of the cabin once the interior is painted.

Made a throttle pedestal with throttle controls.

The little map is a download of an English Channel navigation chart.

Enjoy and thanks to all for the comments.......must start to do some painting now.

Later,
Joe

Gunny,

I have a small glitch in the works..... I still haven't received my S-100 in the mail from my e-bay auction . Can I enter a second kit? I have my British Vosper Mtb that I'm using for model of the quater. But I want to leave the S-100 in the works just in case it comes in.

Ahoy Frank!

Multiple builds are acceptable, actually encouraged, mate. . .this is a long campaign, so you have time to build as much as you can handle!

Ahoy mates!

I usually jump right into a campaign but I can't this time. I'm spread soooo thin it ain't even funny. We just finished up a big job at work for the Girls State High School Softball Tourney. 56 banners in 2 1/2 days. When I get home I just veg out. Then, I'm working on a new product line for Gator's. Gunny will be able to tell you more about that later. And to top it off, I've overloaded myself with group builds. So, I'm going to take a deep breath, organize myself and tackle one thing at a time.

Later...Gator

Mates,
Remember...this campaign runs until October 2008 ! Trust me, I'm definitely not complaining - just reminding all. And Gunny, I don't think folks are trying to ignore the campaign, but there is plenty of time to go. I know from my own point of view, I've changed my mind several times. As of now, my "first" will be the 1/400th S-Boat. But over the next year...who knows ?
One kit I'm looking forward to is the 1/72nd MAS Boat. As far as I know, this has never been kitted previously, so it could be very interesting. We might find some wild color schemes, who knows ?
But the in-progress photos are a big help to spark interest, so keep them coming, Gang.

Ahoy Sean,

As I mentioned in another post, I redid the eagle emblem for my E boat as the
kit supplied one is incorrect.

The eagle head is turned the wrong way and there is no swastika in the wreath.

I have extras and as you are building the same boat, if you care to have replacements, I will gladly mail you some.

Let me know.....
Cheers,
Joe

Gunny,

Still waiting for my little Fairmiles from WEM

ISE is still fitting out for Leyte so she does still take 1st place on the work bench until shes finished even though she is entry number 2.

Ahoy Mark

Here are some progress shots as promised.

This is a picture of the box open and ready for action.
Psst dont tell Gator but you will see my IJN Isuzu languishing in the background top right.

Here is the picture

Looking at the size and frequency of the injector marks everywhere on this kit I think my work area will soon be enveloped in a layer of thick blue sanding dust.

Joe thanks for the very generous offer I will send you a PM shortly. I am following your build with great interest. I have two of these kits and I am planning to do a full blown detailed job on the second one. This one is to be more OOTB.

Ahoy Shipmates

Progress update.

A review of the hull is underway.

I think the fact that the hull is too large for the kitbox has created a potential modelling challenge.

The hull

Front Hull

Rear Hull

More update to follow shipmates.
