Hello Gunny
My PT174 is beginning to look very busy. I'm been busy with the build have just sprayed the boat ready for the weathering. Also sorting out some crew to go with it on the diorama.
How can I add pictures on here with what I write without having to link them to a web host site which I already do. I'd like to add some picture's like the other's do.

Hi Shaun,
Yessirre, matie, your build IS looking very busy!
Great job thus far....adding pics to your post, eh?...VERY simple....I have a gallery set up just for this campaign (in addition to your personal gallery here at KitMaker) and can be found HERE!

I have an "In progress", "Finished", and the special, "16 and Under" albums set up, and you can upload any and all pics for the campaign here...
Then, after you have your pics uploaded, making them appear in your posts is a breeze...all that you have to do is to open up which pic(s) you would like to have in your post, and underneath the image, you will see two seperate lines of .html code...copy and paste the first line of code into your post, and presto! Your image(s) should be in your post...

Give it a go, if you have problems, click HERE for image help...

Give it a go, mate!

Very nice Murdo. What scale is it?

I’ve got some gray paint on the deck of mine but things are still going slowly.

Hey all,

Here is a pic of the torpedo tubes for my Vosper. The top is the original torpedo tube and the bottom is the topedo tube with "Great Little Ships" parts.

I think it's a great improvment.

Hi Jacob,

This is the Airfix 1/72 Vosper MTB. It really went together quite easily. I've now added some scratch built bits from Solder and plastic and this is how it looks now:

Hello
Nearly finnished weathering my PT174. looking a little older & used now.
have used a mixture of oils, enamels & acrylics to get the effect I was after.
Now building the crew to work on her. Diorama's coming along as well. Building a large palm tree to go on it at the moment.

Should have most of the weathering finnished by next week, then I can get on with the figures & diorama.

How did I miss your post, Shaun???
The zebra camo looks Fantastic!
I have a "smaller" experience (the Revell 1/72 scale Elco, built 10 years plus ago....can't remember properly).

When I made this I only had a couple of bad photos, and a magazine for reference!
Congratulations and keep us posted mate!

Hello Skipper
Glad you like my build. The 1 that you built could almost be a scaled down version of mine looking at the pattern of the stripes. You have done a Nice Job .
My inspiration came from 2 pictures in War Machine magazine from the 80's & the old series of books by Pan/Ballantine history of ww2, which had a picture of a zebra striped pt boat. ( wish I still had that book). Then Italeri bought out there kit & it was time to do something about making the boat.
I've been finnishing some of the clutter to go on the jetty & the final painting of the ramp. Can now start to add the sand to the base.

Got the interior of the CSS David base coated yesterday before we had to do an arts and craft project for Ian for school.
I've shaved down some beautiful tight grain redwood into paper thin strips and I'll use that to veneer the outside of the hull.

Hi
I've been very busy getting the smaller items for the diorama build . Things like the scaffold towers & the ladders. Palm trees are on the board ready to have there leaves stuck on. have cut them out of take away tin foil lids. have also finnished scratchbuilding the torpedo & trolley that will go on the jetty. All of the crew have been built now & primed ready for painting. I'll see if I can get some picture's taken for later in the week.

I’ve got some new parts on and the batteries charged for the camera. I’ll try getting some new pictures this evening of my PT boat.

Also looks like the big jobs pretty much over now so I should have more time to work on the models.

Kenny I can’t wait to see how that looks with the redwood.
