Very funny Daniel..

That PE is very inexpensive, but I will wait for a release from one of the big places like Eduard or GMM before I start the Big B..

No, the Trumpeter stuff is usable. The GPM set provides some stuff not included in the Trumpie etch. Thing is that the GPM sets are really made for the GPM paper build Bismarck so you get some parts double. Having the GPM set I might go for an OOB build from now on, ( well, maybe with the GPM AAA sets )
Depends on what WEM etc. come up with...............

So, Jan, how much of a paint hog has this beast been? You must be going through the colors at least twice as fast as from a 1:350 kit.

I won't be starting mine until I see the releases from GMM, WEM, MK1 Model etc. Well I suppose I won't be starting mine until it actually gets delivered to Casa Inman..

The hull took a complete jar of Lifecolor KM red Karl. In view of the size of the real estate not too bad

I used a good ol“ rattle can with car primer - so I can“t say, but it probably is a lot!

Washing will be messy ....

I have been looking at the front deck of the ship, and it dawns on me, that I just have to scribe the planks under the anchorchains ... dang...

Yes, another strange Bismarck-Class thing, not steel under the anchor chains but wood..

Well, I don“t know if its that strange, hardwood has no problem taking the heavy chain, its smooth and hard and don“t rust like a steel plate would quickly do. Its properly also easy to replace.

Anyway, I wasn“t just idle this weekend, got the rangefinders/radars done, added steps like on the hull and the rest is the etch from the kit.

Next will be the 2 separate hangars at the funnel.

Cheers/Jan

Looks absolutely ghastly at the moment and the flash doesn't help things either
