You don't have to be crazy to call what we do, "Fun!". But, it sure helps.

OK, I have been working on the two separate hangars on either side of the funnel - but I want to make one of them open - I have only seen one photo showing the doors opened, and I have a pretty good idea what the doors do - but the plane obscures the top of the hangar, so I only have some details.
In short - good pics of the open hangar ???

I can't find any reference photo's Jan. I would advise taking a look at the "Polish Paper Bismarck": there are a couple of photo's that give a good idea of how things opened, including the roof door above the main door to let the tailplane pass through.

Well, why is it sailors thinks its more interesting to take photos of guns and other boring things and not the much more interesting and fascinating door mechanism on the starboard hangar ....
Heres the other hanger, while the etch is included in the set, theres still room for adding some ladders a handholds along the paths.

Nice! The catwalks need railings. Lots of snow, nice day to finish spraying the hull.

December 7th update:
The hull of the 1/200 Bismarck nearly finished:

Cheers,
Julian
I also remember why this date will live in infamy and still respect the American boys who gave their lives to fight fascism. My great uncle died in the trenches of Verdun during WW I and my grandfather sailed on the Furious during WW II on the Russian convoys. These men made it possible for me to reach the age of 56 without having to fight. I have nothing but the utmost respect for these young men who went out to fight for their countries.

Nice work Julian, maybe the white wave at the stern is a little too small, hard to judge - otherwise a sharp and clean paintjob!
I am not getting anything done, working on a friends 1:1 bathroom - maybe tomorrow.
Cheers/ Jan

The stern wave should come to just above the lower row of portholes. I am leaving well alone here I think..........

December 9th upgrade:
I have fitted the rudders and screws, hull is varnished:

The main deck has received it's first coat of teak:

I couldn't resist building one of the turrets, turret "Anton" in this case. For comparison I took some photo's with one of the Arizona's turrets:

Forgot to mention that "Anton" is still in Vallejo grey ground paint in these photo's.
All for now,
cheers,
Julian
