It's been some time since we reported on any products from MT Miniatures so we'd thought we start again. They specialize in 1/700 and 1/1250 waterline kits for those who think 1/200 is just showboating (couldn't resist). This past November, their latest was a waterline kit labeled as the HMS Conqueror, a Churchill Class Submarine.
Kiyokawa Maru was a seaplane tender in the Imperial Japanese Navy, built at Kawasaki's Kōbe Shipyard. Launched in December 1936 as a merchant vessel for the Kawasaki Kisen K. K. Line. On 28 September 1941 she was refitted as a seaplane tender after being requisitioned by the IJN for the war effort.
USS George Washington (SSBN-598) (1:350)

HMS Cleopatra (F28) (1:350)
HMS Cleopatra (F28) was a Leander-class frigate (Gun variant) of the Royal Navy. The Leander-class, or Type 12I frigates, comprised twenty-six vessels in several variants. They were among the most numerous and longest serving classes of frigate in the Royal Navy's modern history. Cleopatra herself was in service from 1966 to 1992.
We've seen some releases of various shore landing craft kits in the past year, from the classic WWII types in styrene to modern air-cushioned types in resin. The latest real-world contemporary in steel is the JHSV (joint high speed vessel). With 4 delivered and 6 underway, the catamaran style boat is the latest tech in the old practice of delivering soldiers and supplies to the beach head. Russian/Soviet Battleship Marat (1:350)
More than a year ago a 'New Products' article here stated that Zvezda was releasing a kit of the Soviet battleship and it was expected in early 2014. It was never released but may be coming for 2015.
HDMS Absalon (L16) (1:700)

Coming - HMS Naiad (93) (1:700)
HMS Naiad was a Dido class light cruiser that served with the North Atlantic convoys and in the Mediterranean with Malta bound convoys, fighting off axis air attacks. On March 11th, 1942 she was sunk by the U-565, south of Crete.
USS Yorktown CV-5 (1:350)
I just stumbled across this today at the Merit site and states its availability as 'NOW' and is reported to be of 'new tooling'. The first ship in the 3 ship Yorktown class of fleet carriers, Yorktown was built from lessons learned from the smaller Ranger class and converted from cruiser Lexington class ships.

The portable, temporary harbors developed by the British in World War II to facilitate rapid offloading of cargo onto the beaches during the Allied invasion of Normandy, the 'Mulberrys' made the invasion of continental Europe possible. L'Arsenal now adds a new component to their existing Mulberry sets.
