Haruna was a warship of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War I and World War II. Designed by the British naval engineer George Thurston, she was the fourth and last battlecruiser of the Kongō class, amongst the most heavily armed ships in any navy when built. The Newest resin kit from Atlantic Models is of a post WWII Royal Navy frigate design, the Type 81. They were the first class of the Royal Navy to be designed from the start to operate a helicopter and the first small escorts to carry a long-range air search radar. A Cold War midget submarine from the Soviet Union, the Project 907 was an SDV -Swimmer Delivery Vehicle in US designation, SMPL - Sverkhmalaya Podvodnavy Lodka (Super Small Submarines) in Russian. It was developed in the late 60's-early 70's.
