Mirage Torpedo Boat PE Details (1:350)
Mirage's two torpedo boat kits, the OPR “Podhalanin” (ex German Navy A80) and German A86 Torpedoboot , get new PE details from North Star. Both of these World War I era boats get railings, ladder ways, depth charge deck tracking and more.
Sovereign of the Seas (1:84)
The Sovereign of the Seas sets sail again! Model Space releases their latest nautical offering of highly detailed scale Models.
Previously known as the Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship (AOPS) the ship now has a class name - Harry DeWolf class, after the Canadian Vice Admiral who was famous as the first commander of HMCS Haida during the Second World War.
Commissioned on August 25th, 1937, HMS Sheffield was the third light cruiser of the Town-class (Southampton -first group- sub class). The kit depicts HMS Sheffield as during the Battle of the Barents Sea which took place on December 31st, 1942.

Well it's been about a month since the last Mail Call video was put up. This time around we have new items from Legend Productions, Flyhawk (the new 1/72 PzKpfw II Ausf J (VK.16.01), Abrams Squad magazine, and the first kits from newcomer Tiger Model.
A 'Gold Medal' PE set is coming from Flyhawk Models for the 1/350 Fujimi kit of the IJN Battleship Yamashiro (No. 600062). This set is comprised of resin, wood, metal, brass and copper rod parts.
Re-release of the Strasbourg (1:400)
Heller has brought out their Strasbourg kit again and while their moldings may not be up to par with those of Trumper and Dragon, they do offer kits of subjects no one else does. Today's after-market options can go a long way in making the older Heller molds into fine display pieces.

Haruna was a warship of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War I and World War II. Designed by the British naval engineer George Thurston, she was the fourth and last battlecruiser of the Kongō class, amongst the most heavily armed ships in any navy when built. Fujimi is releasing a limited 'premium' version kit of this imperial battlewagon.
U.S.S. Lake Erie (CG-70) (1:700)
The USS Lake Erie (CG-70), a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, entered service on 24 July 1993. Dragon has released a 1/700 Ticonderoga class model in the past but this kit has been updated to reflect more recent additions to the class in service.
Coming - Lafayette Class SSBN (1:350)
The newest boat from Micro-Mir in 1/350 is the Lafayette class nuclear ballistic missile submarine (SSBN). The Lafayette class was an evolutionary development from the Ethan Allen class of SSBNs, slightly larger and generally improved.
Earlier this year, Trumpeter released the USS Tennesse (BB-43). In her 1944 configuration. Now due this October, her sister ship, USS California (BB-34) in her 1945 configuration.

Project 907 "Triton-1M" (1:35)
This kit was released earlier this spring but I wanted to make mention of it here. A Cold War midget submarine from the Soviet Union, the Project 907 was an SDV -Swimmer Delivery Vehicle in US designation, SMPL - Sverkhmalaya Podvodnavy Lodka (Super Small Submarines) in Russian. It was developed in the late 60's-early 70's.
