Garry

Sweet those colour schemes are what I've been looking for on the net but couldnt find anything except a one for 1940 and one for Norway 1942. If you could email them that would be great

Email: [email protected]

Also, I just put in an order for the Toms PE set...a ships nothing without all the little railings, ladders, etc etc. But it does look a little intimidating.

Hey Guys:

Dang sorry so late on the post.. I saw my name listed in the first post.. So like the good Marine that I am.. When volenteered. You report for duty. #:-) So I am reporting for duty. Thanks for the heads up and invitation Gary. Was planning on joining the whole time

I do have a question though. Does the ship have to have served in the Atlantic throughout the entire war?? I was thinking of doing The USS Massachucetts, in 1/720, cause that is the only one I can find and afford at this moment. plus it the only one I can complete within the time frame..
She did start out in the Atlantic. Then went over to the Pacific as the War progressed.
I know it is a thin oh heck darn near anorexic arguement.

Ok so I throw the question out to the leadership of this merry band of outlaws and outcasts. Would "Big MAMIE" qualify for this mission we are about to embark on. If not it is ok I can come up with plan B not a problem...
Bottom line is Warlock reporting for duty I am in no matter what

Howdy warlock!

Damn glad to have you report in Marine! Now, Dress Right!! Just kidding, one old BAMF to another.
Yeah, no problem. Your U.S.S. Massachucett's is officially part of the 'Atlantic' Build! Glad to have ya finally 'piped' aboard.
You'll have to give me a minute and I'll come up with a pic of the Massachucett's. Even if noone else really cares to have pic of the ships we are all doing posted on the thread, it really helps me to visualise what everybody else is working on!

Just a min......

You've got mail Leader ! Tried to send some color charts, but they were to big. Rats! But if you e-mail John snider at White Ensigne models (WEMS ), he can tell you the correct paints to use, plus supply you with that paint! There Color coats paints are top notch to ! did send the two drawings of the Sheer.

Cheers,
Garry

There are red Xs everywhere. Except for TH pics of Hunley, Tennessee & KGV. Maybe they are really just little red hearts for V-day

Well yeehi salama! I just scored a Tamiya 350 scale KG V for $36 on the internet today. So, have to pick up a PE set for it and that ought to put me in line for the campaign start-ex. Should work out OK as the M-1 tank campaign started today so I'll be a month into that. Oh did any one else catch Modelguy2's little boo boo ....the Prince of Whales...(Wales) now that cracked me up

Howdy Blaster76, welcome aboard ! Glad you could join in on the fun. This is going to be a interesting build , with the variety of ships that are possible in this build. Your KGV will fit right in! Its sister ship the Prince of Whales (not Wales LOL!) is here to. Glad to have you with us mate!

thanks Gary:

I was trying to post one of the aerial photos. and the one showing the camo scheme.. By any chance would you know the colors of that scheme? I was thinking about dressing her out in that one. One other question while I have your ear.
Since she is going to be 1/720 scale would a 1/700 pe set work for her???
I have only done 1/350 so this is going to be like Micro surgery for me.

I think Tread has flooded the pic system with his new found talent and it needs a break #:-)

Thanks again
Paul

Hey Paul, the South Dakota class is my favorite Battleship. About the 1/700 pe, I think it would be just fine. There different scales, but there oh so close!
Now the paint colors, I will give the same advice I always do when I realy dont know. Send an e-mail to John Snider of White Ensign models, He can tell you the exact colors for any scheme or ship there is! He also carries the colorcoat paints to match that color. He is a good guy and very helpful. Matter a fact, if you do e-mail him, tell him about this forum and he will join Armorama to drop by and lend help where it is needed! Tell him there is a bunch of enthuseastic (spelling) ship modelers here.

HTH,
Garry
