Here's the Baton Rouge. All I have left is the screw and the PE rail on deck.

Cob - Using the photo of the real logo, I made that one in Corel Draw and printed it on clear decal paper.
Joe - Thanks. I need to add the white railing and the screw. Then I'll mount it to the base and build an acrylic cover.

Thanks Gunny. I brought the base to work today and managed to get about 4 good coats of gloss clear on it. I'll wet sand and do one more. I should have her wrapped up Friday.

Hey guys. Here's the latest on the Baton Rouge. I've added PE rails, posts forward and aft to attach the pennants and red, white & blue bunting on the railing. The bunting was printed on inkjet label paper.

I've ordered some of those 1/350 scale cloth signal flags to string from bow to stern and I'm going to get some of L'arsenal's resin figures for the deck.

D'oh my God!..... Ken!
Man..that's....making me feel really....inadequate.
I think I'll just box my boat back up and go back to paper rockets.....
I know when to stay on the porch.
And send us rain. We'll take five inches or so.
Steve

You did forget something....the wet spot where the christening bottle of champaign hit the hull.
too cool Ken...too cool.
I do want to ask, did you add a drop of light green in your medium grey for you periscopes and stuff? (stuff, yes a technical term) Or, did you lighten some sea foam green for that?

Hi Guys!
Hi have surfaced again (very proper for this campaign, right?) and I have to ask for all the participants of
DDD2 a SitRep?
I have seen very good entries so far
and btw, here is mine, almost finished (some weathering here and there, revealed by the photos taken to make this post).

more photos here:
1/35 Ko-Hyoteki by Accurate Armour Any comments, critics are most welcome as usual!
Waiting for your SitRep status

Hey Skip! Man, what a awesome job! I really like the rusted look. It makes me want to grab a wire brush and some black Rustoleum paint.
SitRep. I got the flags in for the BR but they look a little big, so she's still as you see her. I may try making my own.

Ahoy mates,
Here's the beginnings of the crew of the USS Baton Rouge. All in dress whites.

The figures are L'arsenal's 1/350 resin. I'll never by PE figures again.
I hope to get more done this week.

Ahoy Kenny,
Those little guys will look great with the Baton Rouge. There is nothing better
than nice figures to populate a ship/sub.....great for scale reference and they
add life to a diorama.
Look at the modelrailroaders......they got little people all over the place on the
layouts.....and it makes a big difference!
Cheers,
Joe
