1/350 IJN Yukikaze from Tamiya (1:350)
Tamiya have announced the release of their 1/350 IJN Yukikaze . As with most of the more recent kitset releases this kit will incorporate many features including photoetch and metal chains. The release date has yet to be advised however the retail price has - US$91.00.

Building upon its ever expanding range of model ships Trumpeter has announced the upcoming release of the 1/700 HMS Eskimo (F75) British Tribal Class Destroyer 1941. The anticipated release date for this kit is January 2009 and the suggested retail price at this stage is $US22.95

Building upon its ever expanding range of plastic kit sets, Trumpeter have announced the release of their 1/144 Type XXIII U-Boat . The anticipated release date for this kit is January 2009 and the suggested retail price at this stage is $US 22.95
Trumpeter have announced the released of their1/350th USS Lassen DDG-82 . The USS Lassen is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer currently in service with the United States Navy. This kitset is to contain 487 parts and is to be 443.7 mm in length. There is no release date or retail price available at present.
Gunze Sangyo have announced the release of their 1/700 Japanese Naval Figures photoetch set. It is understood that these are a pre-painted photoetch set of figures. There is no release date at this point in time nor an indicative price.
Niko Models have released a 1/700th US Navy Light Cruiser Huntington CL-107, 1948. The USN Huntington was a single-stack variant of the Cleveland class and these were among the last of the US Navy's all-gun cruisers. This kitset is aimed to be a quality resin waterline kit with photoetch and turned brass masts. It is available now with a retail price of US$92.00.
Building on their ever growing range of 1/700 Photoetch sets White Ensign Models has announced the impending release of their 1/700 V & W Class Destroyers photoetch set . From the current image available it would appear to be enough photoetch to complete two destroyers and it is designed to fit theTamiya 1/700 kitset. It is expected that this kit will be released within the next few weeks. The retail price will be 8.47 pounds excluding VAT.

As an interesting addition to their 1/350th range, Pit-Road Models have released 1/350 IJN Aircraft 5pcs Set 1 . A set of five pre-painted and pre-assembled 1/350 IJN aircraft for use with either ship models or dioramas. This set includes one each of the A6M2 Zero, B5N2 Kate, D3A1 Val, F1M2 Pete, and E13A1 Jake. This is a limited production set of 1000 and they are available now at a price of 1,500 yen.
